When I think "shed" I see shovels, rakes, a wheel barrow, some plants pots, and bags of soil or mulch. Will any of those things be in your heated, internet and cable equipped shed?
Looking forward to seeing more pics, particularly the paw print stepping stones.
There will be a snow shovel right outside the door. No plant pots, but some plants. We have two paw print stones in our flower bed in the back yard, but you can't see them because of all the flowers.....er, at this point, weeds.

We may change the door from opening outside, to opening inside. That way, we can install a screen/storm door on the outside.

Thank guys!

It's going to be lovely. A true oasis.

Mia6 Mia6 No, I'm not taking a chance on that rug. I've been doing research on that company and my scam radar is running full-tilt. Supposedly, it's a Vietnamese scam. They use pictures from artists without giving them credit, paying them for their work, etc. It's pretty bad and I'm not going there. Google the company and you'll see it's not legit. They have all kinds of five-star ratings on the web page, where they can delete anything that's really bad (but if you really look, every review page has the same 5-6 reviews). If you go to FB, there are all kinds of people slamming them. Lots of fraud alerts and scam postings. I'll find something else. But darn it, anyway, I really did like that rug. It's not worth the headache that would probably result in trying to get my money back.

And no chaise either. Rick really would prefer a sofa sleeper. Queen size, preferably. I had mentioned just getting a love seat sleeper, which would be a full-size bed. Nope. Nope. Nope. He says that I (meaning HE!) wouldn't be able to stretch out on a love seat. He has a point. Especially with the way Molli likes to sleep, all stretched out on top of me. But I need to be careful that I find a sofa sleeper that will actually fit through the door, too.

I'm not sure exactly when it will be ready for use. We still have a ways to go. Painting, finishing up the ceiling (beadboard), flooring. the bookcases, etc. Rick said that doing the trim around windows and such can be done throughout the colder weather, even when we're using it (I did specify that all windowsills must be large enough for kitty butts :dizzycat:). He wants the tv, too. We need to look at some kind of counter top for that cabinet in the basement before we can put it in the shed. Some kind of tables for plants. Rick is going to build a large shelf the length of the transom window above the door for my African violets. So there's still a lot of work to be done!

Thanks rubysmama rubysmama and MoochNNoodles MoochNNoodles !

That's a pretty rug Abbysmom found!! :agree:

Last Christmas I found some light purple lights at Walmart. Not the kind that say they are purple but look pink. You could have a field day decorating that place for Christmas. DH would probably roll his eyes; but I'd have lights on the outside too. :anticipation:

AbbysMom AbbysMom Thank you! I do like that rug! Evidently so do a lot of other people; it's sold out!! I'll keep an eye out and see if they get it back in stock. I have it bookmarked.

PushPurrCatPaws PushPurrCatPaws No cat shelves at this time. I have been thinking of shelving for Molli, but I want to see how she handles being in the shed first. Even if she doesn't like the shed, I think Muffin might. One of the end tables will probably be a litter box; I've found a couple ones that I like. And, of course, The Beast already loves it.

MoochNNoodles MoochNNoodles When I asked our electrician for an outside electrical recep, Rick looked at me and said, "Christmas lights! I know it! Christmas lights!" :flail: The man knows me well.

Thanks guys!

There is a recep outside, but only one. (We're already using extension cords to light up the Colorado blue spruce in the front yard during the holidays!)

Inside painting is finished. Rick will call the contractor to come in to finish up. When the contractor is finished, the electrician will come back to finish some wiring. We're going to Lowes tomorrow for trim for the windows and door. Then comes the new floor. (We may just buy the floor tomorrow, too; that way we'll have it.) I've started looking at furniture in earnest now.

Contractor is coming on Monday to finish things up from his end. Then the electrician. After he's finished, we'll install the floor.

MoochNNoodles MoochNNoodles I'll keep posting pictures until it's done. I've been posting on FB, too.

Rick is going out to finish insulating and caulking around the windows and the door this morning. He's also going to sand the trim pieces for the vault. We'll be ready for the contractor tomorrow.

We're going to need to get those heaters installed. This week will be the last of the temps in the 80s and, by next week, we'll be back down into the 60s during the day with temps in the 40s during the night.
