I don't know if this has been done before, but since I've just returned (much to the delight of Toffee and Fudge) from a two week trip to Corsica and already am experiencing the holiday blues, I thought it would be a good idea to create a general thread where we can discuss our trips - at home or abroad - that we've had or will be having. Photos, pictures, anecdotes, recommendations and videos are welcome! Here are some from my trip just gone:

Very nice!

I'm not much of a traveler; but I would recommend Key West and Ernest Hemmingway's house so you can meet the cats there. :p I went in 2006 and I was able to pet several of the cats. They were very well taken care of. One was even sitting in the booth with the attendant we paid to get in. The house itself is neat to see too.

The first time I was in Key West I found a shop where they had 3 cats inside too. I love it! But I couldn't find it when I went back several years later.

Beautiful!! We visited my in-laws in Grand Haven, MI the first week in July. We lived there before moving here 20 years ago, so it was fun to visit our favorite places and see how things had changed since the last time we where there, about 3 years ago. It was a great time, yet we were happy to get home too.

I was surprised how much I worried about our kitties. They're used to getting 3-4 small meals of homemade food every day, but we didn't have anyone to feed them that often so we bought dry food and had our adult son check on them every day. They did fine, but were VERY glad to see us when we got home. :)

*Gorgeous, aliceneko aliceneko (and you know what my favorite pic is! :winkcat:) I don't travel, but will enjoy vicariously admiring cats glimpsed on other members' voyages!*

My ex-husband and I would go to Key West every February with another couple.
We'd fly to Florida but drive to Key West. I loved those vacations. Key West is quirky and so am I so I fit right in. They have awesome sunsets and wonderful restaurants.

Thank you all - and for sharing your holiday anecdotes!
MoochNNoodles MoochNNoodles I went to Florida just before the Trump elections, and visited Key West but somehow missed Hemmingway's house! It'll definitely be on the list of places to visit if we ever go again.
AbbysMom AbbysMom : Wow, Punta Cana looks like a beautiful location for a wedding! The lights look so romantic. Congratulations to your nephew :)

Beautiful! That's a LOAD of people there! All tourists?
That was the line for a concert at the Red Rocks Amphitheater - the one with the rainbow. So yeah, a ton of people. There were a good number hiking at Chautaqua, too, but not quite that full! (the other three pics)

I've traveled over most of the US, and seen some really spectacular places, but I'd like to share some of Texas with you, specifically Big Bend and the beautiful mini-Grand Canyon, Palo Duro Canyon.

First, Big Bend in far west Texas. Very stark, but beautiful in its own way.

These are the pitiless white gypsum flats people must cross to get into the US.

My husband's best friend lives in Salt Lake City and has been begging us to come visit him. We would in a heartbeat if the plane tickets weren't so expensive! Maybe next year, when I will (hopefully) have full-time work with paid benefits.
