Della and the Dealer, just because.

It was Della and the Dealer and a dog named Jake
And a cat named Kalamazoo.
Left the city in a pick up truck,
Gonna make some dreams come true.
Yea, they rolled out west where the wild sun sets
And the coyote bays at the moon.
Della and the Dealer and a dog named Jake
and a cat named Kalamazoo
If that cat could talk what tales he'd tell
About Della and the Dealer and the dog
as well
But the cat was cool, and he never said a mumblin' word.

I'm into this group now, from New Zealand, Alien Weaponry. They sing in Maori, and are part Maori themselves. Warning: the video shows bare Maori warrior bottoms. Not that I'm complainging, mind you, but I just thought I should alert you, LOL... The song is called Kai Tangata.
Dang margecat margecat your a freakin metal head!!! I like the way some bands are reinventing metal. If you like that you may like this!

Spoiler alert. The lions do eat but it isn’t graphic. The movie was about saving the lions.
Hmmmm.... just clicked play to watch a tiny bit, and it's copyright blocked in my country. Probably just as well, as though I love lions, (they are cats, after all) and I know they have to eat, I can't watch the chase/kill.

However, since we're on the topic of lions ...

I remember that movie. I think it had a happy ending?

I love that song! I'm just posting my favorite songs this week, to keep me going.

Maybe you can get this one. It’s a happy song and video.
Also copyright blocked. :(

I did find this version that I can watch. Hopefully it's not blocked for other countries.

Born Free - Andy Williams

And while searching for "born free lions" I found this, which I've watched before, but always brings happy tears to my eyes.

And now, I give you my selection. It isn't great shakes as an actual song, Pink Floyd has done far better, but it is my FAVORITE SONG TITLE EVER, hands down! The full title is, "Several Species of Small Furry Animals Gathered Together in a Cave, and Grooving with a Pict."

Ummagumma was a 2 LP set. The first LP was live and contains some amazing space rock. I saw the Floyd in Boston in '73 just after Dark Side of the Moon (DSOTM) had been released. They played 2 sets. The first set was all the live material from Ummagumma plus the song Echoes (from Meddle). The second set was the entire DSOTM through a quadraphonic PA system. The entire audience was in a somewhat altered state. When the sounds starting swirling around the concert hall, you heard a couple of thousand people all say Woaaaaaaaa.:cool2:

To the best of my knowledge, Pink Floyd has never performed "Several Species...." live in concert.:D

Well, I was intrigued enough to subscribe to them on Youtube. Personally, I wish someone would name a band "Bare Maori Warrior Bottoms."

"Bare Maori Warrior Bottoms"--Love that idea! :-)

That's the first time I've bee called a metal head! LOL. I've heard about BabyeMetal. Have you listened to The Hu, a Mongolian folk metal group that's very in now; they're currenlty touring the U.S.. Wolf Totem was their first video uploaded to Youtube last October, and they just released Gereg, their first album:

Yuve Yuve Yu (I usually skip the introduction, though):
