LOVE your shower! I'd have taken a cat home, too...with permission, of course. And I love flan. And whoever got you cat gifts is someone to truly treasure! They know you so very well!

I finished writing out my thank you cards from my shower but don't have enough stamps, so I'll have to buy more.
Something to keep in mind for wedding gifts in general...you can order those stamps online at USPS by the book, with lots of selections. This one might be pretty for thank you notes for wedding gifts:

You will pay about 50 cents more per book, but it's worth it not to have to make another trip to the post office!

Picture purrfect!

There's a string in the kit so I can either string them all together as a garland, keep them separate on tables or string some and table some. I'll decide the day of the shower.
Penguins! Yes! The cat decorations! I was thinking, before I got to the part where you put them on the table, I’d want a kitty to take home. Lol Those were precious! Everything is going beautifully! Your shower was awesome! Your friends are really good friends if they know you well enough to bring cat/bride gifts! I really smiled for you when I read that. I don’t know how I missed the alerts but I am so glad I checked in. This is a joy to read. Thank you for sharing so much with us. :heartshape:

I think we have a song!

Fiancé finally picked a few songs he liked since he didn't like my choices (though we agreed we could use a couple for other slow songs that aren't our first dance - I'll just let the DJ know I want them played. I'd better reach out and make sure he's still DJing for us!). This one was his favorite, and mine of the ones he picked too, so I think we're going with it. Now working on setting up the wedding dance classes his mom bought for us.

So, we had our first of five wedding dance classes today. It went okay, I think. She was teaching us some swing sort of steps and it was fun.

Have I mentioned that I've fallen into the wedding favor black hole? Because I think I have. I am now leaning towards bulk ordering mini succulents as favors and my fiancé is on board with it.

I am also looking into getting one of those fingerprint guest book pictures like this one: Cats Thumbprints Wedding Tree Guest Book - Wedding Tree Guestbook Alternative - 50-200 Thumbprints - POSTER or CANVAS Because then you can hang it up after the wedding as opposed to a regular guestbook where you just put it away and never look at it again? I've seen other people with that. Fiancé is a bit worried it'll be a mess, but I think if we have wet wipes right near the ink pads, people won't get their clothes too dirty.

Do I want a garter? We're not doing a garter toss and considering it didn't occur to me to buy a small toss bouquet either, I probably won't even do a bouquet toss. It seems useless. We've decided renting limos is kinda useless since the church and reception hotel are about 10 minutes apart. Like, I'll use my parents' mini-van. Or something.

Less than eight weeks. The stress is becoming real.

I LOVE the cat wedding tree! And BOY will it go with the cake topper!

Hmmmmm...to toss a bouquet or not to toss...If you don't wanna, don't. At least you wont cause fistfights among the women in the wedding party! I've seen some really vicious ones over that bouquet!

I have three bridesmaids. Two will be married at the time of my wedding and one is 15. Not sure how vicious it would get.

I'm not sure enough single ladies would be there to make it worth it and I'll probably skip the toss.

Before you know it you'll be married and the stress will disappear. :hearthrob:
It's your wedding so if you choose not to wear a garter, have a bouquet toss or rent a limo then by all means skip it. A wedding should be all about the bride and groom and their wishes not necessarily a book of etiquette rules. Enjoy! :jive:

A cat tree guest book?!?!? Awesome! Your wedding has been so fun to follow. You’ve chosen such unique and beautiful things. It’s a fairytale wedding!
If you are worried about anyone missing the bouquet toss, I’m guessing it’s your young maid of honor. Maybe just hug her and give her a single flower from your bouquet. It’s not so much the toss as the love being carried through. I agree that this is all about the bride and groom. It’s your day. Do what makes you smile. Savor every moment. It’s going to be wonderful!

My dad and I are going to dance to Africa

It's a bit unconventional, but with the trips the two of us have taken, culminating in our South African one last year, it feels right.

I ordered the tree guest "book" and I'll probably buy a second ink pad and some extra skinny sharpies so people can sign their fingerprints. Hopefully it'll turn out well!

I'm still undecided on if I want garters or not, so I've been skimming through etsy. Some are really understated and elegant - like I can see myself wearing something like this: Something Blue Wedding Garter Set NO SLIP grip bridal garter, elegant wedding garter set WHITE C87blue-C87blue

Apparently there's a trend of embroidering them with Mrs Lastname on one (except I'm keeping my name) and "you're next" on the toss one. I'm thinking no.

Look, there's a Cubs one, lol Chicago Cubs Garter Wedding Garter or Prom Garter ..Chicago Cubs Inspired Blue Garter Set , single

Or Michigan: University of Michigan Wolverines Wedding Toss keepsake prom garter

I can't even.

I'm over thinking, as usual. A week from now my sister will be married and it's putting me in high gear almost.
