That's gas. The same spot but on the right is your gall bladder. Doesn't mean it's not your gall bladder - ask your doctor - but it does mean that your body is creating a lot of gas.
I wonder if the hernia is active again. You may need an ultrasound.
Got a Dr appt with my primary next Thursday 26th...And will take it from there I guess....Ive thought it might be my hernia acting up again...I will see if can get some x-ray ...ultrasound..something to see whats going on...I know im lactose intolerant..cause every single time I have milk products...I have issues...Yep that...But that's NOT explaining the pain under my left ribs at times...Not to me its NOT making sense...But yea I know the Dr. Will want to do an x-ray for starters...

My mom has this exact hernia that you had surgery for. Your symptoms and hers are the same.
And shes having the symptoms I have described in my previous thread including the lactose symptoms????But I only have the bathroom issues when I have milk products....

For starters..she is lactose intollerent.
Feels like there's a knot in the upper center of chest. Right below that little bone. Sore to touch.
Lots of belching, especially after eating.
Nauseous feeling whether she eats or not.
Massive acid reflux.
Pain under left ribcage
Lots of gas buildup in body

She was diagnosed at the hospital with a large hiatal hernia. But doesn't want surgery.
BTW, if they put you on Pantoprazole, do not take it more than 2 months or you can say goodbye to your kidneys and liver. This is not an exaggeration, no more than 2 months.

Sorry it took me so long to get back. I have an infection in my jaw, took some medication and it knocked me out.

She said stay away from spices.
She eats a lot of veggies and as long as she doesn't spice the sauce, it's not too bad.
She can eat pasta stuff, as long as the sauce isn't spiced.
Mashed potatoes are good, but if the gravy has spices, it causes problems.
Do you see a pattern here?
Coffee doesn't bother her, but she drinks it black. She also drinks a lot of green tea.

Keep in mind, this does not eliminate the problem, it just makes it tolerable. She says it hurts no matter what, but if she doesn't eat spices or spicy foods then it's not as bad.
