Hey, I am fairly happy with the 5-6 brands of wet I feed and the 3 or so dry BUT it can get costly.
so I feed cans: nutrisource, earthborn, wellness and nulo. they average 1.69 a can + tax.( all chicken and turkey) plus sometimes the natural balance pouches when I get for .95 not 1.29 each.
for dry: nulo, earthborn, fussie cat, purevita.

What I need to do is add in a few cheaper brands, even just a few cans a week more like in the $1.00 range for a 5.5oz would help me save a bit of money.... but I trying to avoid caraggeenan or any other not so great stuff and too many carbs.

any thoughts suggestions?

Do you have a petco nearby? They have their own "store brand" whole Hearted, which start out at .69 cents a packet. Mine eat the tuna varities of it, but they also have turkey(pate) and then a chicken which is shreds.
Hmm, and it also looks like Petsmart has Nutro Max cat, they have cans for about .80 a can.
Mine don't eat pate so not really sure if nutro is pate.

thanks. My 3 split 3 5.5oz cans a day. those 69 cent whole hearted were a joke. I'd need 4 of them for 3 cats for one meal! hardly anything in there. not sure about nutro I thought I saw small cans, not the ones I like. thank you though!

Do you order cases online? That can cut costs.

I feed some pretty pricey foods (Rawz, Life’s Abundance, Primal freeze-dried Raw) and I recently added in Fromm. The cases online go for about $25 per case. A little more than your target per can. Olive seems to love them.

Have you tried Tiny Tiger from chewy? They only have small cans, but it’s meat mainly (including by-products) with no fillers. It’s similar to Fancy Feast pate but it doesn’t have artificial ingredients

Do you have access to a Costco? I don’t recommend their dry food, but the canned is decent food and very economical. You can read about it here (as well as lots of other foods):
