The lady I spoke with from this new rescue said she's looking for a clinic that will take them all tonight or tomorrow morning and board them for a few days. They will treat her and monitor the babies and also get her and the babies into the system so they can all find homes when the time comes for that. In the mean time, I have to register with them to become a foster.

Thank you so much for your help everyone. Hopefully we find a clinic and board for Fayola and the jellybeans so that she can finally get better.

We're taking them to the vet in a couple hours. There were 2 clinics willing to take them but the regular one is cheaper than the emergency clinic. The lady from this new rescue responded so quickly and helped me out a lot. I probably should have started with them first when I took Fayola in.

To catch Fayola, I'm going to have to throw a towel over her again. It's the safest and quickest option. I'm going to take the little jellybeans and put them in a shoe box and wrap it with a towel.

They were hissing at me yesterday when I held them because I didn't smell like mama. Very cute. :redheartpump:

Everything sounds good! don't forget to heat a small rice-or-cornmeal sock. wrap it in a soft cloth & put it at one end of the shoebox so the babies keep their temperature up! At one end only is so they can move away to avoid getting over heated (hyperthermic kittens will be mewing, with bright red mouths and toe beans and usually breathing fast - it's a common mistake when people use a heating pad but don't give the kittens a non-heated area).
Thank you for the update! You are doing sn awesome job!

We just came back from dropping her off. The veterinarian will do an examination and probably run some test to see what's going on with her. Hopefully it's nothing too serious.

The kittens slept the whole drive and didn't make a peep. But Fayola was pretty upset.

You are doing really well here. My goodness your learning curve on cats and kittens has been a steep one! Glad you are getting some help for Mum and babies. She doesn’t want to be this way but she has Fear, maternal instincts, hormones, feeling poorly and lots of other stuff going on. You are her guardian angel at this point

One of the vet technicians was still examining them when we left.

They said they'll call me once they have all the information to make a final report on their condition.

Update: The vet said Fayola is very ill and the babies will have to be separate and bottle fed until they are weaned. She needs treatment so they don't think she should continue raising them - someone else will have to. I think they are going to spay her and release her back to me.

Fayola isn't cooperating so they are going to mildly sedate her to do an exam. The babies seem pretty healthy so they are taking them away because they don't want to continue to expose them to whatever Fayola has. She will be staying with them overnight so they can run test to know exactly what is going on. Depending on what it is, she will be treated and spayed. Once all that is done, they will give her back to me because they don't have any fosters for taming.

They are going to try and find a bottle feeder foster for the kittens.

:alright: Poor Fayola - she will be traumatized at losing her kittens. At least, you will be able to help her recuperate from this sad experience. I shudder to think of what would have happened if Fayola had not been rescued by you - your great observations saved ALL their lives :clap2:  You can try reassuring her that her babies are safe - cats understand much of what we say.
Pleased keep us tuned in!
