Yes. Make sure everyone is able to snuggle down and no kitten gets cold.

You could try letting Mom have some KMR or whatever you have the kittens.

Ask the rescue if they could just send someone to help you a little while. If some fluids and food could be gotten into the Mom it might help. Unflavored pedialyte diluted 50/50 with water might be helpful. She might eat some of the all meat baby food chicken. 2nd foods by Gerber.

Every time I ask the rescue for help, they send me to the shelter. I've called the shelter and they haven't responded. Fayola won't eat anything. Not a lot of vets are able to handle aggressive cats.

Should I worry about the tiniest kitten? She is slightly larger than the one that passed away but still very tiny.

You are giving food, keeping them warm, is Mom licking their tummies and bottoms? If not then you will need to use a warm damp cotton ball or something very soft to do that. It makes them go to the bathroom. Worry will not help. I know it’s hard not to worry but you are found all you can already.
Tell the rescue that you will still foster, you just need some support and instructions. Mom needs to have medicine. Can they at least send over medication? Do anything to help? Ask for someone to come by and show you how you can handle the Mom to get a syringe of fluids into her mouth.

Do you Facebook? There are groups on there that may be near you and could help.

You can post something on here too stating you are in Canada and need contact to a rescue group to assist with your foster. Maybe the ,”What’s on your mind “ thread? Go everywhere you normally post to ask questions. Anyone near you? Let them know you will keep fostering but must have emergency help for Mom.
I will put it out everywhere I can too if you want.

Just know that you are the faithful warrior guardian standing between these kitties and disaster.:soldier: Many of us are praying for you - we are a strong community and have helped others out of situations just as bad as yours, if not worse. What I am concerned about now is that Fayola get into vet care - it's now Friday afternoon on the West coast so time is of the essence! Please!! we can help.
And know that tame cats freak out at the vets just as well as ferals do. Fayola is already acting out because she is sick. They can sedate her - trust me, they know how. They can either use gas or they can "pole" her.
As far as payment goes, you can sign up for Chase Quickpay or Zelle or Cash App and it is confidential to you plus is immediate! or ask the vet if they will accept phone payments or PayPal or Quickpay or Zelle - all are quick, confidential and secure.

...and it is okay to separate the babies from Fayola, especially if she has infection and her milk is bad. Keep the babies warm and pottied and fed. After Fayola is better and on antibiotics, she can resume her motherly duties. If you can get a candy thermometer, use it to heat the milk to 100° farenheit. and keep the box covered with a towel so the ambient temperature is 90°F.

They had a few suckles each. Not a whole lot. They mostly wanted to sleep. I wrapped them up and gave them back to Fayola.

I don't know what I'm going to do. I'm falling asleep. It's been an exhausting week and I'd really just love to take a nap.

I tried the shelter again and no one answered. To get Fayola to wherever will just mean stressing her out all over again and more stress for me as well.

So, I don't know.

I think the shelter will just put her down. Her age and unadoptability pretty much doom her. A lot of shelters euthanize orphan kittens too. So I don't know if they'll be much help. Definitely make sure everyone is on the same page before releasing her to them, or even taking her into their building.

This is why I am trying to get a hold of them there. If I show up and there is no vet, I don't know what they will do to her. And it's not like they have people there overnight to monitor her in case of anything.

Who knows what goes on inside that building. I for sure know that they will probably euthanize her. She's sick, old, and she needs a dental. Her mouth is bad. They told me that dentals are expensive so in their eyes, it's probably better to euthanize an "aggressive" cat instead of pay for the dental and have her re-released.

I'm in southern Ontario. I'm contacting a humane society close by to see what they say.

Never mind, they only take friendly animals. All others have to go to the shelter which I cannot reach.

I'm going to call my vet right now and ask if they will help me.

They charge $70 + tax (70 x 1.13 = $79.10) - This is just for examination!

They will only take the money up front. They don't do over the phone or paypal or anything like that unfortunately... :(

They won't tell me how much for the rest over the phone. They said they have to see the cat first and the veterinarian will decide.

Are there any other rescues in your area?

Don’t say she’s unfriendly when you call; just sick and needs help because she has kittens and you have no resources.

Call back the Humane Society and ask them to please at least look at her.

Please!!!! can you sign up for Chase Quickpay or Zelle? you do not need to have an account with them, just be signed up for the service. It goes by the email that is associated with your bank account so your identity is protected with the same protocols as your bank accounts. Time is running out.
Once Fayola declines to the point of no return, the stress of a vet trip will be miniscule in comparison. So please make it the current goal.
I know that this is so unfair to you....and if I had magic, I would spare you or at least **poof!** send some of our most trusted members to be there to help. But .... you CAN do this!! :cheerleader::heartshape::grouphug::vibes::angel3:
