When I saw these kitties were getting fed rice, beans and tortilla's, I started feeding them. They live on my porch now. They are tame and adoptable, but it's impossible to get a rescue here to help right now without a foster or making a big donation. So I'm going to try and raise money to get them fixed. sigh.

BJ, you make your mama BEHAVE!

We’ll keep a spot open. Shall I put up a sign ? “ Reserved for Hekitty and friends.”
Not the worst idea I ever heard!

And yes my apartment is a mess.
Darlin, with as much as you have going on, your apartment is allowed to be a mess. It would be unnatural if it weren't.

My cats do the same! Whenever I'm outside of their enclosure, weeding the front garden or rummaging around in the tool shed. They all stand by the fence and yell at me to get inside quick before the bear gets me!

:flail:
They do want to protect us from the “lions and tigers and bears, oh my!” :flail: I love that they include us in their families! :cloud9:It’s a true privilege.

rubysmama rubysmama Never a dull moment. I would be happy to share the excitement any time......:runaround:
Today was active in a very different way. It looks like things have settled for a couple of issues on a better note. Graceful-Lily May have help. Thanks to so many here for pitching in to provide support, good thoughts, vibes and wishes along with prayers. Hoping that all turns around.
My Dad had to go to the ER. Apparently it is gallstones. He is back at home tonight. Thank goodness.
Maggiedemi is back in the hospital. Hoping she gets good care andcreleased quickly.
Considering today was supposed to be unlucky, it turned out pretty much better than it started out. ;) Maybe the 13th is a lucky day.

Buffster7 Buffster7 I hope all is improving there! Hopefully nothing ever grabs your leg. My neighbors didn’t come checking today so maybe I wasn’t as loud as I imagined. Lol

tarasgirl06 tarasgirl06 I think it was a Raccoon because it felt like a grasping hand and that fits a raccoons little hand. Poor little guy. Just trying to ask for a treat. I left some tonight. The term speuter cracked me up.

surya surya Beautiful kitties! I love the black dot on the face of the Calico. I hope you can get the Spay Neuter funds. You probably already know that the National Spay Alliance sometimes supplements spays. It’s always a battle to keep going. Does the HS ever help there?

Mamanyt1953 Mamanyt1953 The sign is up! This space reserved! A room with windows too! Lol :) Hekitty will have a view.

I had a bit of a headache by the end of the day today. No worries. The cure is readily available.

Purry can purr it away but I need direct contact. Hold still.

Let me get settled.

Don’t wiggle Mom. I gotta be right on top of your head! Cover your face too or it won’t work.

Thank you Purry!
Nearly 20 lbs. of vibrations on my head definitely did something. :flail:

Wait a minute! I hear something. Purry! Let me see!

Ohhhh. Whistle? What are you doing?

Nothing. I was just talking to Banjo and the others.

Whistle. The bag of cereal is out of the box! There’s a hole in it too.

Really? I hadn’t noticed.

Don’t look at me Mom.

Banjo. You got on the sofa pretty quickly.
Who me? No. I was here the whole time.

I was sleeping. Verrry tired.

But Banjo, I’ve seen you steal my Frosted Flakes before. You know.... Tony the Tiger?

Geez mom, I don’t remember that. You know I never do anything I’m not supposed to do. I’m innocent.

I think Purry distracted me for the good of the clowder! Lol Banjo can be verrrry convincing. I guess the cereal will be going in the refrigerator from now on.

Have sweet dreams everyone! :flail:

Hi Jcatbird,

I looked at the National Spay Alliance and didn't see anything to help these cats, but I will contact them. The HS is not any cheaper than the place I plan on taking them (if I can raise the money). The vet were they would go, has a feral package, which includes combo testing and vaccinations. With a microchip, it will be around a $100.00. They aren't feral, but I think I can go that route and request no ear tip. If I can get them vetted and chipped there is a possibility they could get transported to Denver in October. But I need help raising funds, if you have any idea's on how to do that.

The vet said Fayola is very ill and the babies will have to be separate and bottle fed until they are weaned. She needs treatment so they don't think she should continue raising them - someone else will have to. I think they are going to spay her and release her back to me.

Fayola isn't cooperating so they are going to mildly sedate her to do an exam. The babies seem pretty healthy so they are taking them away because they don't want to continue to expose them to whatever Fayola has. She will be staying with them overnight so they can run test to know exactly what is going on. Depending on what it is, she will be treated and spayed. Once all that is done, they will give her back to me because they don't have any fosters for taming.

They are going to try and find a foster bottle feeder for the kittens. I keep thinking about how all of this didn't have to get so bad if the first rescue had just listened to me when I told them that Fayola was very ill.

When I dropped them off, I felt so relieved because I am so busy and worrying about them made me sick. I haven't eaten much since the kittens were born. I told the lady I was speaking with from the new rescue and she seemed upset that I didn't tell her last night that I'm juggling 7 college courses at once plus have other things going on in my life. I apologized again and she said nothing... :( But my brain was scattered all over the place and I checked back on the emails I had said to her and I did in fact tell her that it had been 7 weeks and I didn't plan on keeping her for this long. *shrugs*

Jewely Jewely Great first photo and verrry cool cat. It made me smile!!:coolcat:

surya surya That’s a good price from that vet. Do try contacting that group though. Worth a shot even if nothing pans out. Feral Cat coalition?
You are really going to have to shift into being a 501 or something. The rate you are helping kitties is huge. You need donations coming in. It’s never easy to get them but being 501 might help. Any rescuer who is 501 that you could go under?

Hugs, hon. :hugs: :hugs:

Thanks for all you're doing for Fayola. Hopefully everything will work out for her, and her kittens. :crossfingers:

These girls aren't feral, so we need to get them done without the ear notch. The notch makes them less adoptable. But I've got something in the works now. Me a 501? Gosh no. I'm what is called the finder. I find the cats and beg other people for help. Other people do the vetting and get them adopted. I'm exhausted from all the begging. I do wish I had a wealthy cat patron who would buy up some land and give it to me, I would start a sanctuary.
