Understanding Pet Food Ingredients

I know we often have conversations on these forums about the quality of pet food and the ingredients so I thought I’d share this short video which I think is helpful information that all cat parents should be aware of.

~ We really don't know for certain what exactly is in our pet food unless we make it ourselves ...

I do sometimes feed a bit of canned food in addition to homemade raw because my husband and I both work long hours. We leave frozen canned food in a timed feeder so the cats get their meals when we're gone. The food we've been using is Feline Natural because I've heard that New Zealand companies have better sources of meat (also no extra additives like gums, peas, or carrageenan) but I really don't know much about pet food regulations in NZ and have no idea if it's actually any better.
