I'm at the end of my rope with liquid bowel movements. I'm on day 3 of kitty detox from jarrows with mos.
I have her confined to bathroom. Diarrhea being tracked everywhere. What can I do to protect my floors, grout, bathtub? Ideas?
I work 8-4, so I'm not always home.

We had a sick kitty with diarrhea, and his whole life he would poop just outside the litterbox so cleanup was terrible. What worked for us were puppy pee pads around the litterbox. They can get pricey but cleanup was amazingly improved.

Other than simply laying newspaper or pee pads all over. I'm not really sure what else you can do.
Is kitty staying hydrated? Is the concentration of the jarrows with mos too high for her?
May I ask why you are doing a detox on a cat? I've never heard of that before.

Oh no I'm not doing this on purpose! We tried jarrows with MOS and I think it was a little too much for my kitty. So I think her body is detoxing the jarrows.

We are on day 3 of liquidy diarrhea. I was using florastor before and ran out. Thought I could give her the same amount in jarrow's without considering that the MOS might be a little stronger than just the plain probiotic that I was using!

It's a mess around here.

OH! OK, I was kinda confused lol...:)

Well, as mentioned, newspaper and pee pads...:dunno:

If this continues, I would really bring her to the vet, they can give her fluids in case she has become dehydrated. But giving her some pedialyte would probably be a good idea.

Would she eat some plain boiled chicken and rice for a day or two, to give her tummy a break? Maybe give her some plain pumpkin puree?

What were her issues before you started her on the new probiotic stuff?

OH! one thing you can do, to help protect your grout for easier clean up, (floors and tub are pretty easy to clean) is to take a white (not colored) candle, and rub it on your grout lines, the wax will help repel dirt grime (and poop) for easier wiping and will help prevent the absorption of poop water / staining.

Initially she had loose stool. Was treated for giardia. When that didn't fix it we treated for coccidia. She's bern on metrodiazanole, panacur, albon, fortiflora, pro pectalin from vet.
We've had blood tests, fecal floats and PCS test. They are all clear.
S boulliardi was helping until I changed to s boulliardi with mos. Now it's liquid stool.
Two steps forward, 10000 steps back.
We've had her for a month and a half and I've spent almost 1k on vet visits and meds, crazy amounts of litter...

Nope. We're on prescription cat food. We're still a mess over here!
