I have lost 2 cat babies within the last year. Both dreams were related to their deaths. I wonder if they are signs from my babies or maybe related to the guilt I feel about losing them?

In one dream, my cat Samba was drinking water but was already dead...

In real life, she was euthanized at home. I held her in my arms until she took her last breath and beyond for almost an hour.

In another dream, my cat Salsa, was frozen with her mouth open in her cat bed next to me. In real life, she struggled with breathing...her lungs filled up with fluid which is why I put her down...

Could they be signs of them communicating with me or connections to the way they died?

Dreams can mean so many things. Bless your heart for having made that incredibly difficult decision out of compassion and unconditional love for your babies.

RIP Samba and Salsa. You gave your all to your person, and received the largest gift possible. :vibes::rbheart:

One month to the day after losing Darcy to FIP, I had a dream that she was running in front of me and I was trying to catch up to her because I was worried something bad was going to happen to her. Eventually I got to a building that was like a garage. She was in a little bed in the back with a small white kitten. At that point I knew she was okay and felt very relieved. I took this as a sign from her that she was alright.

I haven't had dreams about our other RB kitties, but they both sent us signs after passing, so I totally believe they can and do, but whatever means we are receptive to.

I haven't lost a cat, not yet. And I Don't know how I would cope when it happens.

I have lost pet dogs, though. One of them passed away when I was still studying. He died after 14 years of love and friendship. He was a gray labrador and the gentlest giant I knew. Now, even decades later, he still visits me in my dreams, especially when I am in my lowest of lows.

I believe they are sending you a sign that they are fine, that they are at peace. Drinking water after death means she is doing normal things she did while alive, even after death. That although her physical body is no more, her spirit lives on. The open mouth means your sweet girl is no longer dependent on physical lungs now like she was when she was alive, she is showing you she is fine and no longer struggling. They both have your love and that leaves them in peace. They will both be as close as your thoughts and prayers for eternity because they are a part of your very soul. The bond that ties these souls together is stronger than death, "Death cannot take that which never dies". Although they are gone from your life, you keep them alive with your memories and they will live on through you. Nuture taht love. Let it grow and spread. It is their legacy to you and you are are so blessed to have had both of them in your life. My heart goes out to you, I'll keep you all in my thoughst and prayers.....

di and bob di and bob is right about the basic dream interpretations. I will only add this...if the dreams left you feeling peaceful, they are almost certainly a communication. If they left you with a feeling of dread, or anxiety, then they are almost certainly a product of your guilt. Your cats loved you, and love you still. Signs from them will be colored by that love.

Its been almost 9 months and i havent had a dream of my two cats that passed away earlier this year. I only had a split second dream of mc looking up at me before my alarm clock went off. I wish the alarm didnt wake me up so i could dream of her a little more , but she was as clear as day in the dream :(
