A friend needed to re-home her cat. She's been looking for a place for a couple of weeks with no luck. I was considering getting a 3rd, although I was intending on getting a Devon Rex kitten...but really felt that I should instead offer to re-home her girl, Eliza. I brought her to my place yesterday, & she spent the day (& night, too, most likely) under the bed, hissing, growling & spitting at anyone/anycat who looked her way :lol2: But she'll get used to used to us soon, I hope. Therefore, I don't have a pic of her that I took, but here's one from her former home - BTW, I've changed her name to Diamond, because she's small and precious!

The only thing better than two cats would be...three cats. Diamond is surely a sweetheart, and so are you for giving her a loving home. God bless ya!

She now spends the majority of her time out from under the bed, but remains in the bedroom. This is also where her food & water are, as well as a couple of boxes (which were already there). She's still hissing/spitting/growling at the resident cats. PNG basically just ignores her when she does this. I/O is still very leery & won't challenge Diamond if Diamond hisses or growls at her - I/O will just stay our of the room. So, progress!

She is beautiful. My first ever cat was a tuxedo who was small and precious just like Diamond. She came into my life when I was three years old and then had a very adventurous last year of life traveling around the country with my husband, self, and a young kitten.

Diamond's adjustment to her new home kind of reminds me of Shimi's. It's a big change, but Diamond sounds like a strong personality who is going to be just fine in her own time. I hope PNG and I/O will eventually have a friend and protector.

I was going to get a meezer or maybe a Sphynx but Willow needed a home and she is perfect. Thank you for giving Diamond a home and putting your own dreams of a Devon Rex on hold.

We have graduated to roaming the whole house now! However, she's still very growly towards I/O. I/O is very non-confrontative, so she just walks away usually, unless Diamond surprises her. When that happens, I/O ends up with what I call 'fluffy tail'.
