Greg and Arnold were adopted from Kijiji.

Their owners were moving to Florida and felt the boys would not do well there in the hot humid climate. The boys have been with us for almost 5 years and have bought us joy everyday. I am grateful the former owners selected us as the new owners. All our cats have been rescues or adopted.

I am glad there are responsible breeders keeping the breeds alive and well for others to enjoy. I have always voted for the under "dog" and will support them.

I got Finny and Teddy from a rescue. They lived in a foster home with over 20 cats and a giant dog. Honestly visiting the home to meet them and being surrounded by so many cats was heaven lol I had never gone through an actual adoption process before until them because my first two cats were given to me for free by family friends.

Indy came from the local humane society. She and her siblings were orphaned at 3 weeks old. :(

Tango came from my city's feral cat rescue. She was caught at a trailer park when she was about one month old. She was placed in a foster home before going to live at a local pet supply store. I saw her by chance when I went there to get some cat litter. Tango was too cute to leave behind, and the rest is history.

Both the humane society and the rescue allow certain cats/kittens to live at that pet store so they have a better chance of getting adopted, though you still adopt them from the rescue, not from the store itself. Indy had been at the same store for a couple of weeks when I adopted her.

I have find kitties, adopted from a vet tech that fosters, adopted Dante from a friend of friend & lastly Jackie was a failed foster. My stepbrother found 6 feral kittens, caught 3 and thought they were weaned. They were not! Eventually he got the other three to a baby cat rescue organization that fostered the other three & the mom was TNR’ed.

Here are cute pictures of minions the day after we got them and my beloved Dante with my current cat Jackie (plus other adorable little kitten
Photos. I regret losing Dante’s baby pics so I took lots of baby minion pics!:

Kaia we adopted from the humane society at 10 weeks old. She was born and raised in foster care. They did a great job with her. She’s always been confident and sure of herself.

Binx we adopted from a different SPCA. He was rescued with his two sisters when he was 4 months old. He was almost dead and totally covered in fleas. He spent a week in the hospital trying to live and get better. He’s amazing. After all he’s been through, he’s confident and loving and so funny. I want to make all his days comfortable and great after what he went through in the beginning.

Let's see... I got one from Craigslist (the only intentional cat), one from the local park, two strays from my own yard, two strays from my mother's yard, and five from one of my mother's strays being pregnant when I trapped her (yes, I kept them all). It's a madhouse! XD

My first three, when I was a kid, were dumped in our back yards. All those since were adopted from shelters, except Thomas, whose UNPRINTABLE owners abandoned him when they moved out (they were neighbours), and Hadji, who my mum rescued from the car park at her work. He was from a feral colony there, and barely a month old. I’ve no idea why he was alone - there were no other cats nearby - Mum suspected workmen around the place had picked him up and maybe his mother abandoned him if he smelled wrong. Anyway he grew up to be the most beautiful medium-hair black cat, who had zero idea about hunting. He’d let pigeons walk right in front of him. We had him for fifteen years, one of our clowder of five.
The current queens of the house, Phoebe and Daisy, came from shelters too. Phoebe was another who chose us, settling down for a bath on Mum’s lap in the shelter. I was looking for an older cat, preferably a tricolour, to keep Maddie company, not a barely-out-of-kittenood grey (actually she’s dilute tortie, but her fawn colour hardly shows). But nope, she had made the choice!
Daisy came from Queensland. We were living there for a couple of years and that’s where Maddie passed away. Phoebe was clearly pining for her (which would have made Mads laugh: she didn’t like Phoebe much) so I looked for another cat immediately. I applied for Daisy the first day she appeared on the RSPCA website. She was the only cat at that very small shelter not marked as “needs to be only cat”. She’s also the only cat I’ve adopted whose shelter name I’ve kept. They’re both extremely affectionate cats with me. They don’t mind each other, they chase each other around (usually after lights out, sigh) and sleep on my bed whether I’m in it or not, but they don’t cuddle up or wash each other, they’re not bonded that way.

Phoebe, Daisy and Hadji are gorgeous! I love the subtle dilute blue and cream of Phoebe's coat.

I adopted Elvis at 9. My BFF told me a rescuer friend knew of a guy who was marrying an "allergic" and was regretfully having to rehome Elvis. I had lost three beloved cats -- Rani, Maryam, and Sahra angels -- in three months and was feeling the need to adopt. Long story short, Elvis joined us and now he is an "only cat."

My kitty was a gift 💗
The lady who is my mom's coworker went to back to our country ( we all from Peru ) for a short vacation last year. She brought back a stray cat with her. She just didn't know the cat was pregnant. She gave 5 kitties on October 25 . At first she was going to sell them but decided better to give them to someone that just really love those kitties. I got almost the last kitty. I have him since January and this month is his birthday 🎂🎉🎉🎉

That his mom and one of his siblings
