I started getting greys when I hit 40. I have a stripe on both sides of my head...hoping it all turns a pretty silver color..since I love Silver with the greens/blue colors I wear...My mom didn't have much grey hair when she passed in her 60s. Thick wavy hair right up till she died..I inherited her thick hair and mine turned dark brown when I passed the age of 30. It used to be a medium blonde color..now it's a medium brown color. But I colored it a mahogany type color and some of it is still there.

Mine is rusty black. With no luster whatsoever. It has every texture known to man, so it is a MESS. :sigh:
I can relate to the mess. I have African textured hair so it's basically a rat nest when I don't comb it. It has to be braided in some sort of style 24/7/365.

I wrote here before about my hair falling out due to stress. It has started to fill back in now since I somewhat have my stress under control.

I've got some of that, along with the others, and a kitchen that won't quit. Sometimes I wonder what it would be like if I could get it all to behave. Other times I want to shave it. :fuming:

Straight and brown here. It's low maintenance, but boring. I guess I'll take it since I'm lazy.

My dad's sisters started really going gray in their 20s. Mid 30s and I have a few, so I'm hoping I can last a few more years before they're obvious enough I have to start dying, because my poor aunts' hair just isn't soft anymore with all the damage from early coloring. And I want to keep mine silky.

I had been a "bottle blond" from the time I was 17. Sometime in my later 20s the hair dresser told me that I had a lot of grey hair. Couldn't care less as I was still bleaching and toning and only when the hair grew out quite a bit could the grey hair be seen. By the time I was 60 there was quite a bit of grey, now white hair and that was fine with me as it blended with the bleach blond and I could take longer between bleach jobs. Then around 3 or 4 years ago I gave up on the bleach. The hair is almost all white now with a few darker original color (whatever that may have been) patches around the crown of my head. Can't wait for all of that to be gone. I love my white hair, probably because I had been a blonde for almost my whole life (all but for about 8 years after the baby blond had darkened until when I discovered peroxide) and now I had my light hair back without having to resort to chemicals.

Funny thing is that my mother, who had been a hair dresser in her young days, told me when I was about 15 that some day I would have "pretty white hair". Now I have it. How did she know? My father was almost all white when still a teen, my mother turned grey around 40, hers never turned white, just a mixture of different shades of grey.

You're fortunate. It doesn't work here at all. I've been on the Do Not Call Resistry since moving here, and some days the phone rings off the hook with robocalls, political recorded messages, and charity hucksters. I get them on my iPhone now, too, which is also on the Registry. :sigh:
Do you have NoMoRobo? It blocks most robocalls on your land line. There are now also blocks for the iPhone and your service provider should also offer one.

segelkatt segelkatt *Echoing Mia6 Mia6 's thoughts* and also complimenting you on the pretty necklace. IMHO white/silver is very similar to blonde anyway -- they are all very pale shades -- and since grey is a very popular color to tint right now, you're doubly fashionable!
Mother Dragon Mother Dragon -- no, I don't have that. I just let it go to machine or on the iPhone, to voicemail, and block the number and delete the call.

Well. Since making the call to the Do Not Call registry and filing a phone harassment report, we haven't had any problems with spam calls. It's kind of nice.
Since I've been messing with all the spam calls, they must have black listed me, because I don't get anymore either.

I want to quit my job before Thanksgiving. I'm tired of this company and the idiots who run it. I'm tired of working every dam holiday that falls on a weekday because the ER never closes. I'm tired of being here all day. I'm tired of working six days in a row because our turn over rate is ridiculous and everyone has to work weekends since everyone we hire quits within a month. I feel like I have to do a blood sacrifice just to get a single day off. But I'll miss all the nurses and they'll be upset when I tell them. But this job is taking a toll on my mental health and I need to get out. Sick of my toxic boss. My skin crawls every time he's around and I have to pretend i don't want to punch his him in the face with a truck. At full speed. With spikes on the front. Leaving is going to be hard though because I'm comfortable here, and my anxiety ridden butt isn't a fan of leaving my comfort zone. But I gotta do it.

I also really want to dye my hair blue but I can't put bleach on my overly sensitive scalp...gotta be a way though.

I have hair that has switched between wiry curly to stick straight about half a dozen times in my life. I don’t mind either but I just hate when I have half and half. Currently my mostly still brown hair is stick straight but all of the rapidly incoming white is really curly and I just can’t seem to find a haircut that works with both. I am tempted to go very short just to get rid of the straight stuff.
