The only way I can see it simplified is if they change the name of the highway. From town to the county line, the highway has one name. From the county line east, it has another. If they changed the name to make it continuous, then my address would be the same as someones in town, so they would have to change it. But since the highway name remains, why change the address? My property is 40 acres running from the highway (North) to BLM land (South). Between my two neighbors, they have 40 acres and the property west of me is a vacant 40 acres.
Why change the address if not for renaming the highway?
And it is the County Assessor that has been spoken with.

So, I checked the trending page on YouTube and saw this...
And my initial thought was, "Here we go again!"

There's a thread on pumpkin spice and how far it's gone: At What Point Have They Gone Too Far With Pumpkin Spice?

Someone from college sent me an email out of the blue to comment on my updated LinkedIn profile. We hadn't talked in years. I knew she was emailing me because she wanted something from me, not because she was being genuinely nice and wanted to make a positive comment on my profile which she could have done directly on LinkedIn anyways. I didn't play her game. I thanked her for the positive comment on my profile and wished her well. That was all. That was early this week. She hasn't responded back and I don't expect her to. People like this annoy me Don't email me out of the blue with niceties to get me to respond so you can then ask what you really want from me

Hey y'all:

It's MONEY. That's ALL it's about with these people.

Hey, guys. Serious question. A friend of mine is struggling badly after losing her premature son. We're in a book club together and we (the book club) have done some post self care things for her but right now (tonight) is particularly bad for her and we're trying to figure out how to help her (it's an international book club very similar to this site, so physically showing up with a casserole will be tough to pull off).

Any suggestions? Thanks!

I'd send some flowers with a note that you're there for her if she needs you. It's hard when you're not physically there. If you don't like the flower idea, maybe a donation in her name to someplace like St. Jude's children's hospital or something similar. How tragic. My sympathies to her and her family. Go snuggle with the angels, little one.

Just be there to listen. Sometimes that's all someone needs.

My dreams are so weird. This last one involved my brother and one of my professors.

My brother was joining me at school. We watched a movie set in medieval times about a man wearing a weird mask. Afterwards, my professor signed permission slips for everyone to go see the exact same movie

I somehow managed to get left behind, but my classmates came back complaining that the movie they saw was not even remotely the same. It was instead based on poorly written fanfiction that had nothing to do with the original.

My professor was given a copy of the fanfiction, and was trying to act it out without laughing. I remember that art was involved, and he was genuinely trying to make whatever it was.

Then one of the cats jumped down from somewhere and the noise woke me up.

So . . . yeah.

That moment when your local shelter reduces the adoption fee to $25 for cats and $50 for dogs...


I usually check to see what pets are up for adoption. I don't know why, it's just fun to me and until September 1st, the price to adopt is way cheaper which is... tempting.
