Can a wasps sting harm or kill my cat, at this time of year we get the odd one or two in our house and I was wondering if its sting would harm our cats.

Apparently a minority of cats are allergic to wasp and bee stings and can have a serious reaction, like some humans. Problem is that most folks won't know if that's the case if the cat has never been stung before.
I found this:

Cat Stung by Bee or Wasp? What You Need to Know | Hills Pet

If the wasps up there are anything like the midges, they would down an elephant! I went camping up there once and was very nearly eaten alive. Lovely place though.

Great minds, mightyboosh mightyboosh . I was just going to cite that same article!

Generally, there may be localized pain and/or swelling, but a small number of cats are hypersensitive. IF your cat is stung, and begins to gasp, get to the vet immediately.

We usually get a few down the chimney when the weather gets cooler in fall. I also worry because I've seen the cat(s) go after them. However, they're usually sluggish that time of year and I'm able to send them on their way. ;)

Im not a doctor, but I think a wasp sting might be more serious because it can sting repeatedly.

I think greg might have got stung a couple of weeks ago as he caught a bee and immediately released it. He then began chewing on his paw. I inspected the paw for a stinger, (which annoyed greg). I found no stinger and within a minute or two he was ok... hes tougher than I am.

16 hours later he found another bee to stalk....see pics.

But he does seem more cautious of them....for now.
