segelkatt segelkatt Beautiful pics and you are lovely!! Red is your color!!

@Mia6: Actually blue of every shade is my color, particularly pastels, but every once in a while I wear something loud and primary and that was one of those days.
What amazed me of this river is that it is right downtown next to the highrises and it is unbelievably clear, even where the water is 6 ft deep one can see the bottom with all its smooth stones. The Truckee starts at Lake Tahoe and goes through Reno emptying into Pyramid Lake and from there it goes on.

Graceful-Lily Graceful-Lily Sounds like a good plan about the kittens. Yes I complained.
We'll see if it does any good.

tarasgirl06 tarasgirl06 I can't choose the ride service. The insurance only started using
Uber and Lyft because the medical ride services were so bad. I had to wait 3.5 hours a few years ago, for a ride home. Another
woman was stuck at Pain Management at the Cleveland Clinic, where I am a patient, till 8;00pm. It was happening so much that
they got approval for Uber and Lyft. They still use the medical ride services

Well, I have Medicare and it is worse than the VA. Except, now, the VA has referred me to ******* Healthcare systems for a MRI. they probably want to send me to ***** hospital (the one I walked out of the ER) for it. So now, I have to find out which doctor referred me instead of combining appointments at Little Rock. Then have him cancel the referral and coordinate with my other appointment.

Edit: I talked to my CBOC and got nowhere. Instead, now Triwest is calling every two hours.

VA is 137 miles each way.

There is the social option but there usually is a lot of pointless burocracy involved so it takes time to start and the health care quality is low. That is if I even qualify for physical therapy by their standards. There are semi-social options (private hospitals that take some money from government) and this is what I prefer. It is relatively cheap yet decent quality health care. I also have an insurance that covers the remaining costs, but they always have some excuse to not cover it. The problem is you only know if they cover it after the procedures so you have to pay if they refuse to pay and I won't be able to pay if they refuse. And there are some private hospitals that take all the money from you or your insurance (different kind of insurance from mine). I can't go to those at all as everything is really expensive there. They are mainly targeted at businessman and European health tourists.

It is not a big deal that I can't afford it anyway as I'm not sure if I would do it even if I could afford it. As I said it only helps for a couple of months.
I have a physical condition that is also helped by physical therapy and in my case as well, it only lasts for a short time. I do exercises I learned from pt, have massages some times.

The mystery of my non existing address thickens.
911 has decided that the county is going to change some addresses. There are 3 people on my easement. Two of them received the letter from the county. In the letter, they were told the new address. I have not yet received anything. One of my neighbor's new address...is mine.
When we moved in, 18 years ago, 911 gave us this address (they weren't there). So it is on record with them. I've had the sheriff here, so I know it's good with the county.
Why in the world would they give my neighbor my address and not notify me of any changes? We all have a PO box at the same post office, so it's not like they got theirs differently.
The one neighbor (who's getting my address) has contacted the county and they will investigate it.
If they change our addresses, we have to change everything from our DL address to our mortgage company.

This is a mess.

kashmir64 kashmir64 Spam in its original form is scary enough IMHO. This...is downright the stuff of horror films. I've never had anything "pumpkin spice" except, well, pumpkin pie. That's okay. I'll pass on the rest.
As for your address, it sounds like typical low population density area follies. You may recall my tale of woe about moving to the Mojave and trying to get a PO Box because there is no house delivery up there. A dump card was also extremely difficult to obtain until shortly before we moved...out. I wish you much better luck than we had. Although I don't hold my breath on it. The question is, will your neighbors pay your bills if they arrive at their/your/??? address?:insertevillaugh::disturbed::disappointed:

I've got the number for the 911 address request for the county. I'll start there. Since I don't have a letter to refer to though, this may be a fiasco.

I know. It's like they want people to fail -- in WHAT? Having a mailing address? Come on, bureaucrats!!! Wake up!:sigh:
I could have a mailing address other than the po box. IF, I wanted to pay the postal service to add my address to their route, pay for and put up a mailbox...a mile away. Because we all know that's safe.
My neighbor did give me a copy of the letter she got, but the county assessors office is closed on Fridays. I will just wait until Tues. for them to get back to her, and if not, they get the wrath of me.
According to the letter, this is a nation wide 911 thing for rural and unincorporated areas.

It is real.
That's just...perverse. It made my back itch.

Actually, pumpkin ice cream with Cool Whip and a bit of pumpkin pie spice sprinkled across it is quite nice. QUITE nice. ~drools lightly on keyboard~

They had snowpants at Walmart last night. Snowpants! It is still August! Hmph.
With the radical changes in the weather, we might need them!

According to poor little me, it's INSANE. :fireblob:
I'll see that "insane," and raise you an "UTTER MADNESS!"

They did that here, years ago. It really does simplify things once it's all straightened out. The transition period is a bear though. I'm pretty sure it's the county people you want to talk to.
