@catsknowme :)Very glad you enjoyed it. The kitties make it easy and always give me the captions by there little facial expressions.

rubysmama rubysmama Thank you and N NY cat man for the lovely compliments.
I cannot resist a chance to help a kitty or a kitty guardian. It may be just a matter of giving the support that you guys give to me!
I have to tell you that finding the frog on the kitty print made me laugh too. That frog is definitely a kitty guardian.

Buffster7 Buffster7 I’m glad you enjoy seeing all the kitties. It can be a bit confusing since so many live here and far more have come into my life and then moved on to find love with others. Rubysmama did a beautiful job of sorting out the kitties that live here along with a short bio on each one. I don’t know how she pulled it all together but she did! You can find out who is who by looking at the ,” Cats Living at Chez Catbird” link provided above. She must have sorted through hundreds of photos to get the pictures together. I know she sorted through a couple of thousand posts to get the bio information!! Yow!:eek3: I don’t know how she did it. True patience and diligence! It’s truly a work of art. I hope you’ll enjoy seeing it.

BJ is appreciating his life inside now. It was interesting at first though! I kept posting that I thought he wanted to eat me. He’s a big teddy bear now but the first weeks took some adjusting for him. It’s kind of funny how cats just seem to turn a corner at some point. They are still nervous but things start going forward. BJ can still show me his opinion but mostly he just shows his love and it shows that he wants to be a part of the family. He was intimidated by the others at first. We had a lot of meet and greetings to do! Flowers was the first to greet him in a positive way. He is now accepted by every cat in the house, including my eldest boy Dolly. Dolly came to me over a decade before BJ arrived.
I have already seen the gratitude that Finn shows when he is snuggling you. The rest will follow when both kitties are ready. The love they both have for you will help to bring acceptance. They are already doing great and have made amazing progress.

:p Well... I just saw that you have posted that you are going to the link that rubysmama posted. Hopefully it will make the clouded connections clear. It’s quite a family tree in some cases. ;)

I just finished reading all their bios! What a lovely crew you have. I can't believe how many people adopt and return kitties?! That's heartbreaking. And sweet Whistle was returned and now has trust issues? :bawling2: Well, he has a. much better life with you than he would anywhere else. Bless you for all that you do for these babies 7 days a week! And I hope that your ribs are continuing to feel better with each passing day.

Hello everyone! Another day at Chez Catbird has come and gone. The kitties helped me sweep and mop today in spite of their dislike of mopping! They kept me company instead of ducking out and I didn’t get a single dirty look. It was hard doing that today with the rib issue so I kind of think they stick around to keep an eye on Mom. Each day brings more amazement on my part. They’ll tolerate whatever it takes to watch over a member of the family.:catlove: It’s a great feeling to belong to them.

Asking for good vibes, prayers and hopes for one of the people who has acted as a helper to me in the past. They were in a car accident on the way to their sons home in another state when it happened. They no longer have a car and have bronchitis. The accident did not cause them great injury and I am very thankful for that but they still have to recover from the chest problems. I am hoping for a swift recovery for them. Cat lover down. :(

Wanda Heart and I spent a lot of time together working on the eating. @tarasgirl06 suggested that I purée some food for her. I did and she ate it! Thank you tarasgrl! I added some meat baby food to the wet cat food along with a little water. :yess: Good girl WH! I have also surrendered my fuzzy bathrobe to her. :p That was an instant hit! She immediately snuggled down in it.

I don’t want regular cat food.

It’s better if people return kitties than the alternatives. I actually require that with all adoptions. If the family can’t keep them, they come back to me. The kitties adopted from the shelter were actually lucky to be returned rather than dumped. As Wanda Heart can tell you, dumping of kitties happens.
I actually spent a lot of time preparing Banjo and Whistle for their new home. They were going to someone who is a computer and gaming fan. I exposed the two to lots of cat video games and Banjo became vet adept at working my I phone. This, the Banjo selfies.
Their story was difficult from birth. Being lost after adoption really had me devasted. I think Whistle was traumatized by getting separated from Banjo during that time. They had never been apart. Banjo had stayed glued to Whistle even during Whistle being very ill as a kitten. Being able to go to Florida and find Banjo was one of the most joyous moments of my life. (Whistle had already been found) reuniting Banjo and Whistle did not bring them immediate relief because Banjo was still in shock. The love and affection Whistle gave to his sister brought her back to recognizing she was home. The photo in the bio is of that very moment. I’ll be honest, as I watched them, I cried to see them together as they had been. Another completely joyous moment. If you look at the photo, Whistle is wearing the sweetest smile. Their story is all here on the site from the time I found them outside and started trying to get them. They have never trusted strangers again but they are very happy with their Mom, Dad, each other and the rest of the Clowder. Banjo runs the house and hopes to become our next President and Whistle stands beside her. Always. The relationship between cats and with humans runs far deeper than many people would ever guess. That’s part of why I tell their stories. If we show the love, it spreads.

Banjo laid over Whistle to keep him warm and help heal him with purrs when he was deathly ill.

Even when Whistle was well, these two always showed great love for each other.

It's the crazy kind of project I thrive on. And it was done prior to gardening season, so I had lots of time on my hands. I keep thinking, I want to do a similar "yearbook page" for all the kittens and cats you've rescued and found home for. Just curious, do you have pics of all of them?

Asking for good vibes, prayers and hopes for one of the people who has acted as a helper to me in the past. dustydiamond1 dustydiamond1 That was a lovely post! Thank you for that! Ditto, ditto, ditto. To others and for my friend as well.

Buffster7 Buffster7 I’m sorry I made your eyes leak! Hopefully the last tears were happy ones since Banjo and Whistle are very happy with their family and extended family. It’s all bout love and happy endings. Besides their family, they have their Froggie friends too! The Prince and Princess froggies continue their daily visits.:)

Mamanyt1953 Mamanyt1953 We are surrounded by angels here. Thank you for the candle for my friend. :heartshape:

rubysmama rubysmama You must thrive on projects like the cat banner! I would have gotten a headache from trying to sort through all of that. It was amazing to me that you were able to gather it all together!
If you want to do a kitty yearbook, I did have photos of them all. My , rather large, family album is something that I cherish and would happily share with everyone. Those little faces are bound to bring some smiles. It would be a huge project for you but it would make a lovely yearbook. The tough part would be choosing which photos to use. Here’s an example..... These are just the first few kittens in! They all have loads of purrsonality.

Two of the babies of Beauty, Bee and Emoji.

It’s been a little quiet here today soooo, it must be raining! Yep! Lol No birdies flying around to watch. No armadillos either. I had to entertain the kitties myself until the froggies showed up. It was fun. We chased balls and catnip bubbles. I wish I had brought the pools back in while the sun was out but :dunno:
I’ll do that again soon. It should be great fun when I do. It’s been awhile. I just have to make sure that froghie doesn’t decide to move in with the pools! :D

I had to stop the playtime to do a few chores and then this happened.....:kitty:

Ohhhhh! What is that? A monster?

It’s stalking me.

What do you mean it’s JUST a trash bag with handles? It has a big red tongue!
293652AE-F74C-4114-B135-0B50CB256999.jpeg

Poor little Whistle. He doesn’t like anything to stick it’s tongue out at him.
It’s very rude!
As much as I felt for Whistle, I couldn’t resist the look on his little face. His expressions always tell what he is thinking!
He was very happy to see me take the trash bag out. From now on I’ll tuck the handles in and carry the bag out by the top. Cats notice everything that is new or different. The bags I usually use have a different kind of tie top. Of course some cats just don’t care as much.

I hear ya Whistle!

rubysmama rubysmama That sounds like fun! We can stay warm this winter while working on a yearbook! I’ll try to find the best photos and then you can do the hard work! :running:I’m so glad you enjoy the making of the banners and yearbooks! It would be a wonderful tribute to all those kitties. It was an amazing group. As you know, each one still has a part of my heart with them. I know you well remember my Gingerbread babies. I will never forget my midnight searches of the swamp. Finding the babies and then being able to reunite them with their mom was such a beautiful thing. The kitties got my heart and the mosquitos got the rest. The moral support transfusions here kept me going!

Hello kitty lovers! Another day of cat dancing at Chez Catbird! :cloud9:

Rain again this afternoon and I had to be on the phone a lot. The phone calls were not the best part of my day but important. I got one call that the foster I work with may have found an adoption center for Wanda Heart. Good news but also very hard for me to imagine letting go. I’m always instantly bonded. She totally did wanda into my heart! I’ll be asking a lot of questions before she can go but if they check out well, I will have to do what is best for Wanda Heart. I remind myself that having her in a home where she is healthy, loved and happy is all that matters. It’s my responsibility to give her the best possible life, wherever that may be. I guess the other kitties understood the tone of my voice as I spoke of letting her go. I got a lot of this:gingercat: while I was on the phone. Lol At one point I bent over and Precious landed on my back. If I could have gotten video of that, everyone would have been laughing. I had to stay bent over going,” Precious, get down. Get down Precious. Precious..... Precious?” I can only imagine his expression. Probably laughing as I moaned and tried to reach around. Not happening right now. o_O Imagine spinning human with large, laughing cat on their back! :runaround::lol: I finally just froze and the game became boring. He jumped down, flipped his tail and grabbed a toy mouse. Cats are so great at making up games to amuse themselves, or their human, on a rainy day.:dizzycat: I was split between moaning and laughing. Laughing won. :flail:

Here’s our smile for today! Miss Wanda Heart did something new. Thank goodness!

I’ ve seen this thing.

:p Wanda Heart learned to play. She also thinks her human needs help learning to hunt food. Lol I have a feeling she will be bringing me “gifts” of bugs and toys. It made me so happy to see her feeling well enough to play! :yess::yess::bunnydance::dance:A little more each day if all goes well. We celebrate each moment of kitty happiness! Heart to heart. :hearthrob::redheartpump:

Have a great night celebrating kitty happiness everyone!

Furballsmom Furballsmom :yeah: Four paws as little knobs in your back, cat laughter in your ear! Even better when they decide to hang on! :eek2:  Ride ‘em human! My cats really want their own horse. That will teach me to put my hair in a ponytail!

Thank you!
I’m sure I will recover well. Especially if Wanda Heart brings me food from her hunts! Well..... maybe plastic balls and catnip mice aren’t terribly nourishing but it’s the thought that counts.

rubysmama rubysmama That sounds like fun! We can stay warm this winter while working on a yearbook! I’ll try to find the best photos and then you can do the hard work! :running:
I'm in no rush for winter to arrive, but looking forward to working with you on the kitty yearbook. :)

Yes, the gingerbread babies hold a special place in my heart. Still love the pics of the kitten looking out the door. :catrub:

Here’s our smile for today! Miss Wanda Heart did something new. Thank goodness!
Excellent news on Wanda Heart. Playing for sure. But also the news that a foster may be able to take her. Letting her go will break your heart, as it always does, but by the time she leaves you'll have helped her become a purr-fect pet for another family. :hearthrob:

That is both good news and bad about Wanda Heart. Good that she may find a furrever home, and bad that she may be leaving not only you, but us as well. Fingers crossed for her, after all she has gone through.
Earlier, you asked for pictures of orange cats. I know you have seen ours in another thread, so do you still want them here as well?
And finally, how are your ribs feeling? Better, I hope. It really is a drag when an injury cuts down on your ability to do normal things, but then, you still have your kitty therapists to look after your well-being.

My four temporary fosters are going to Wisconsin tommorrow. The lady next to me in my new apartment feeds cats. She told me about people here killing kittens and cats disappearing. So alot like the old place. This morning three kittens wandered over to my porch. They were about four weeks old and very hissy.
