I tried it on her. Lots of fur came off since we dont brush her.

I saw tiny white specs on the actual fur like how you would see human lice on hair. Also some black dots, and some red dots.

Yay! You got a flea comb! More than you wanted to pay, but if there are still fleas, it will be worth the money spent. Check YouTube for how to comb and check for fleas, and how to drown them, usually with a bowl of warm soapy water. They can jump so you want them straight into water.

Also, do it on a white towel, sheet or blanket and wash it after.

I mean, we don't really have a brush for her and it works well on her fur.

The first time i brushed her is when i saw white and red things. But the 3rd time i did it didn't seem to have anything.

I kind of know the process of killing the fleas but i didn't follow it hahaha. I will try tomorrow and check the kitttens as well. Its alright to use it on them right?

Final set up for momma cat. Tried moving her kittens under the laundry during laundry day again lmao.

Ill try my best to change the bedding every 3 days.

Kittens are starting to run around as in they walk so fast kfkfjfjjddndkckd.
They also like to stare at us and play with each other.

I had to move them so many times this week since momma tries to move them in bad locations. Hope its fine. Momma has calmed down now and i allow her to follow me to their new setups.

I don't find anything on the comb after I've brushed her a few times. Hopefully there isn't a lot.

Hey, that looks pretty nice and roomy. She should be happier knowing they can’t escape too far from her. As long as she can easily get in and out. They may try scaling the cardboard but it looks good for now. Be prepared in case they do. I can’t tell from that angle how deep it is. Someone else may chime in.

I bet it’s so much fun seeing them come to life and start to show their personalities. Now you see some rewards for all your hard work! We’d love to see some more pics.

Fleas like to hide under the arms (armpits) or on the belly near her bottom where the warm areas are so be sure to check there. You can comb the base of the tail too, and check for flea dirt. It’s safe to comb the babies as well. I’m glad you didn’t find any. If they make a reappearance, it’s usually about 2 months after the first treatment.

The good thing about living in such a cold climate is the weather should kill them off outdoors soon enough and you won’t have to worry about bringing any inside until next summer!

The cardboard wall is high enough that it might take a few weeks until they can climb over it. I've removed one of the grids at front and cut the cardboard so that momma cat doesn't have to jump to get in.

What should i do if she moves again?

I will definitely check those areas for fleas. She only usually itches in front and behind her ears. I also kind of struggle to check since she moves away at times or doesn't want to lay down.

I'm glad that summer here is short XD and I'm glad I found her before winter season as well.

I love love love!!! How they just stare at us. They are so cute LIKE AAAAAAAAAAAJJDFFJFJJC.

I know I won't 100% remove the fleas but when i combed her yesterday, I'm not sure if its just dirt that came off since she hasn't been brushed for a long time. Today i brushed her twice and brushed the areas where you told me to.

I will insert pics of the outcome (even tho it might nor be useful)

(Momma today)

(I think momma and all the kittens backs(they were nursing lol idk y i'm rushing)

I only see dots but they don't look like they have little legs or something like i've seen on google images
I mean i will try to check everyday just to make sure.

Hopefully she has noneeeeifirjcnmfcjmsxd

Make it so she has to jump so she can’t take them out, especially when you’re not around or at night. Maybe you can put a box on the outside so she can jump on that first to get in or out. If she can move them, she probably will.

They can go for the ears too. Also, she could have mites. Do her ears have dirt in them?

That does look like it could be a bit of flea dirt. I’m not sure if it’s new or old. Keep trying to comb when you can. You definitely do not have an infestation. Try to comb where she has white, or one of the kittens since that will be easier to see.

So she won't move them if she has to jump out with them? I can totally just close the entrance so she has to jump in and out.
(Like this)

Right now she's looking around the house for new possible places to set her nest.

She didn't have a lot of dirt in her ears. To me, there's a bit of black, and a bit of ear wax or something. haha

And by the way, when she's cleaning her kittens, is it normal for her to be biting their chest when the kitten moves too much? I saw her do it on the black kitty and its scaring me.

There’s always a possibility she could try. Just leave her alone and see what she does.

She’s teaching them manners. It can look frightening but it’s part of them learning as they become more mobile and aware. You’ll see more of it. Try not to stress or hover so she doesn’t get stressed.

Have you noticed if they have developed a runny nose or watery eyes?

It’s hard to say from this end but if it’s just sneezing, they may be reacting to the dust from the litter or something else. Do you guys use a plug in air freshener or spray one in the air, like Lysol or glade? Any of those things could cause it.

My mom sprayed lysol in the livingroom on the day before we moved them there. We made sure the smell was gone after we moved them.

Momma cats litter is also far away from them.

Their eyes don't seem to be watery. Just shiny and cute.

I only find their nose wet right after they sneeze.

Maybe you can just make note of when or how often it happens. Like if it’s just random, or after getting washed up or during nursing, while sleeping. Is it multiple times a day, late at night, etc. You can see if there’s a pattern to it or if they are just clearing their systems.

I’m sure your mom is stressed about your trip coming up soon, plus everyday expenses. Try your best to not mention the snap application until after your Toronto trip unless she brings it up. Now that you are not facing your fear of a flea infestation, you can rest a little easier. They look like they are not overfilled with appointments. I went to there Facebook page the other day. They keep busy but are well funded and well organized. You will be in good hands. They won’t spay/ neuter until at least ten weeks old. So give her until after the trip and then decide when it would be a good time. It’s coming up pretty soon, right?

We are actually not going on the trip to toronto. She cancelled it. She's stressing over our passports now and she needs a ton of money.

I will try my best to see what causes their sneeze.

And by the way, i locked momma cat in the crib with the kitties but i didn't tape the gate so she got out. She got really mad and tried to chew off the cardboard. I woke up thinking she probably moved them and she actually did. Under the dusty couch. UGH. I placed a blanket on top now so its darker for her.

At some point, one of the kittens sneeze when i touch them or get my hands near them(but not all the time) Not sure if that's one of the reason but i honestly don't smell like anything. I don't touch them right after showering since that's when i smell the most. I only touch them when i start to smell like my normal scent.

Sometimes they also sneeze while sleeping.
Not all of them sneeze tho, i mean that's what i think.

Just let her do as she pleases. She will be happier. Trying to enclose her is making her upset. The more you leave her alone the more secure she feels. Just observe. As long as the kittens are safe there is nothing to worry about.
