When Jessica calls back, ask her opinion on what you should do about deworming . Does her poo stink really bad, or is she having diarrhea? Even if she isn’t, the fact that she’s been on the streets, she needs to be dewormed. But if she’s not having major issues than that can happen with the vet visit if it’s included.

That may well be the price, $25, but that would be for the spay, vaccines and whatever else they do for her. I’m thinking $20 according to what I read but that’s for a spay, testing and vaccines.

We took my boy to a regular vet for his neuter and shots plus a fecal and it was about US$300! That didn’t include the price of revolution we bought him ( for fleas).

Just relax. If your mom wants to keep them, ideally get mama spayed first, maybe with one other, then go from there. If you wait until ten weeks, you can take one in with her. Then do the others the next month perhaps? Maybe they’ll give you a deal!

Start getting together a playpen because they will be crawling around and ready to explore as each day goes by! Are they starting to play with each other? At about three weeks old, watch out, haha! Be ready. I’m glad you’ll get to see that before you go back to school.

Oh yeah, do you have a vacuum cleaner?

Right now, after i switched her litter to the wood pellets her poo started to stink again. Its not runny. It has a form but it looks soft and it stinks.

Most of the kittens are males( I think)
Last time we checked there might only be 1 or 2 girls out of the 5. Were also giving 2 away and I guess my friend will pay for their neutering.

I haven't noticed them playing. They're usually just awake, laying while they turn their heads to look around.

I will make momma cat another nest just incase she decides to move again.
They are kind of in the supposedly playpen(since it was 6am and i was half asleep when it happened lol) but its like i said, the base of a crib and were still struggling to put them together.

I still have the metal squares thing that i can use too. I already washed them and ill probably use those.

We do have a vacuum. My mom just borrowed one from her friend today.
I'm still thinking about how I'm going to do all the removing the fleas part in the house tho.

My gosh. That neutering is so expensive HOHO. My mom would never spend that much on animals.

Thanks to this wonderful site, I left that expensive vet and found a much more reasonably priced animal clinic that has a great reputation. They were really nice, but our financial situation has changed, plus I like our new place much better!

Once they start moving, the nest will have to be in the contained area to keep them safe. Mama will have to be able to get in and out.

Since you have a vacuum, start vacuuming everything, every nook and cranny, including baseboards and the cracks in the wood. Especially the spots you see her lounging. If it’s a bagless, empty and bag it tight and put it in an outside trash bin. If it has a bag, throw some salt into the bag.

Wash all your bedding. Then put salt out everywhere. Regular table salt. Leave it for 24 hours and vacuum it up. You can put it in your dirty clothes piles, anywhere fleas my lurk. They prefer fur, or carpets, but will go into hiding. You may have to do this again if you don’t get the eggs. Is this too much info?

Im still unsure when to do that. Hopefully we can get the treatment soon. I will start to do the livingroom as soon as we get the treatment.

This will be a hard task since we will have to move them first to do so.
Fleas might also be attached to our clothes. MAN IM SO SCARED THAT WHAT IF WE DO THE TREATMENT AND ALL BUT FLEAS ARE STILL IN THE HOUSE.

This is gonna be hard. But i will try my best to do what i can do.

Our house is not that big but rooms are gigantic. We also have a lot of unnecessary furniture that we don't know what to do with that shes been to so man.. this is stressful.

How bad are the fleas? Do you have an infestation all over the house? Or is it just a few on the cats?
How am i supposed to know? Will i be able to see them with a naked eye? Thats all I'm curious about actually.

Im just worried since momma cat has been everywhere and that some have transferred to like the floor, our beds and couches.

Anyone ever tried this yet?
Putting a plate/bowl filled with water and dawn, and then putting a lamp over it will attract the fleas. Usually wait 24 hours to see results.

It sounds like you do not have a flea problem. If you had an infestation you would know it: you would be getting bitten; you would see fleas jumping on your ankles; you would see “flea dirt” on bedding; and your cat would be scratching continuously and possibly have sores.

As long as none of this is happening, you can stop worrying and no need to do anything.

I mean i don't see any jumping around.
My cat scratches every now and then. Mostly behind the ears. Her fur falls off but thats just because we don't brush her often. I also don't see anything on her fur/skin, whenever i try to find some.

Ive been bitten once on my bed but stopped when we sprayed the bug spray.
There are tiny specs on my bedsheet, but not a lot. Not sure if thats the dirt you're talking about.

You should buy the cat flea comb. Then comb her and the kittens. If there are any fleas, that’s the easiest way to find them. The comb has smaller teeth very close together and will “catch “ them.

I have one with metal teeth similar to the orange and green ones. Please buy that first before you do a bunch of stuff. This way you’ll know for sure.

Yes, they can be used on humans, lol!
The top ones are $1 over here. If she wants to keep five cats, she will have to give up some change here and there! I know she must be stressed right now, but this good to have. I hope you find a good deal. The bottom one was about $5 from Petco. Keep it in the same place and you’ll always have it.

Theres a drugmart that sells pet stuff nearby. I might have to check it out.
Theres also that thrift store i mentioned that is supported by a rescue organization and hopefully they sell some there as well HAHA. I know they sell pet furnitures and toys.

Most of the smaller ones are interchangeable. They make many different sizes and ones with longer teeth for long fur, ones with handles which look nice but get expensive.
