How Safe Is Revolution?

Hey all, it's been a while. Howl, the kitten I mentioned over a year prior, is now pretty much fully grown and very lively.

Now here's the problem: we thought we had gotten rid of his fleas within the first couple months of his life, but some seemed to have slipped by the radar and now are back. And, even worse, both of our cats now have infestations.
The vet had given us Revolution when he still had an infestation, but my mother had never gotten to applying it because of her (sometimes annoying...) chemophobia.

Now here comes the question:

To those who have used it, how safe is Revolution? Any issues I should look out for, in case my mother's fears are realized?

When I had four cats I used revolution and advantage and capstar on all of them at one point or another. None had any adverse reaction. I know there’s tons of articles and this and that on the web but it is very unlikely that anything negative will happen to your cat. Something u can do if you are unsure is use half the tube first day then go ahead and apply the rest the next day after you’ve got a gauge if the cats are going to have a reaction to it. I also have a dog who takes bravecto and incepetor and he has never had an adverse reaction to that either.
If your infestation is really terrible I would recommend using capstar in conjunction to the revolution as the capstar will kill everything live on them within the first 24 hours. Then the revolution will take care of any new hatchlings and eggs as well and the worm (If I remember correctly? I think revolution deworms. Or maybe it’s prevents heartworm) if the revolution doenst worm id also recommend having them dewormed monthly through this process as well.
Also I’m sure your vet told u but fleas can live without food for several months. I would treat for at least three before you decide to stop. And again if the infestation is terrible I would treat longer. Vacuum vacuum vacuum wash bedding (yours and the cats) weekly and vacuum every nook and cranny U can weekly as well.

ANY living creature CAN have a reaction to ANYTHING, being utterly honest. However, I have never personally known a cat to have problems with Revolution when applied correctly. They are far more likely to suffer secondary issues with the fleas, up to and including tapeworm infestations, than with the Revolution.

I prefer Revolution and just had my vet apply it to Jamie for me ( as the little prince does not always cooperate). My dog, when he was a rescue puppy, had mange and it was also used on him, more frequently than the monthly treatment is for fleas and their like, and 12 years later he is still here.
