What Item Do Your Cats Routinely Steal?

Hell's Kittens love to climb into the bookcase where I keep my skull people collection, and steal my Skull Bride's bouquet. I caught Greyson in the act again last night. He went right to it, so they know exactly what they're doing!

(I use dollar store Halloween skulls and dress them up: I make the hats, clothing, jewelry, etc. The Skull Bride and her parents aren't anyone famous, though. As for famous people, I've made Frida Kahlo and Chinggis Khan.)

We had to buy several of these because they like to steal and hide them... Now we keep them in a special hidden cat proof place, but if we forget to put it away after draining the tub...

Hair ties!!

T-shirts, sweaters, bras, underwear, kitchen cloth, etc. If it's made out of fabric, Felix will steal. Every morning, we have to pick stuff up off the floor from his midnight antics. It's becoming annoying but I have no idea WHY he does it.

Kitchen and toilet rolls. See attached, one Kiwi caught in the act doing a runner with a kitchen roll.

Mowgli rarely steals anything other than food, but our last cat was into guitar picks, especially the kind that fit over your finger.

They don't really steal anything. They leave me presents all the time though. Dead mice, hairballs, things like that.

Fresca likes kitchen sponges for some reason, if I don't put them away after using them she will often drag them off and deposit them elsewhere, usually on the stairs or under my bed. Patch and Alana seem content with their toys, and Callie's only vice is knocking things off of counters and tables.

They steal the strainer from the shower upstairs. I keep buying them and they keep vanishing, only to be found later behind furniture. At least I have enough that I don't have to buy any more, now.

Clove steals the kitchen mat. It’s three times as big as her but she loves running around the house with it and dragging it up the stairs to put on my face when I’m trying to sleep. She’s weird.

Obviously, it's not time for you to be sleeping. She's just letting you know so you can correct that error.

Willow takes my stretchy cloth hair ties. When I need one I usually look under the sofa or bed and will find half a dozen. My former cat regularly pried open my jewelry box and stole earrings. Occasionally she would return them and I would find them left in my bed.

"My" side of the bed is the first and only thing Melody has stolen

Fresh tissues from the tissue box. She paws them out then shreds them.

Just too funny because in the more than eight years with me she has NEVER done this but last night, sometime during the night, Willow stole a roll of toilet paper from the bathroom and I found it shredded to bits on the bedroom floor.

What do my cats routinely steal?
