I’ve owned cats for years, always fixed etc. But my boyfriends moron friend stood there with the door open 8 hours before her appointment to get fixed. So here we are, roughly 60 ish days give or take. I’m not sure on the exact date. I haven’t noticed any nesting but I’m very busy this time of year with work. I have a few boxes set up I never see her in them. Tonight she slept for quiet some time which isn’t normal. A little affectionate but normally way more. After she woke up her rear has been twitching, along with her tail and she’s been walking a bit funny. No meowing, doesn’t seem agitated.

Is this a sign? Or should I be paying attention incase it’s a complication?

I think I’ve read every article possible, just looking for some personal experiences since I know every cat is different.

She might be experiencing contractions. But the only experience with birth that I've had is my own, lol. I'm not sure I can help much.

She may be laboring or experiencing pre-labor. She also may have a few days left and just be very uncomfortable.

Cats usually don’t go to their nest until time to deliver.

Keep us posted!

Yes, I had a cat who had many kittens over the years, and she didn't show any signs until she was ready to deliver. Once she came and told me - stretched out with a paw on my knee and a pleading look. I rushed around and found her a box, put a towel in it, and she hopped straight in. A few minutes later, she delivered her first kitten.

Thank you for the replies. No kittens yet, she ate a bit the past couple days it’s about 1/4 of normal. It looks like she had a bit of brown discharge, and I haven’t seen milk yet

The only thing I know about pregnant cats, I learned here. So in case you aren't doing it already.... Give her free access to kitten kibble. She will need the protein. Also, if you can, some KMR (preferably powdered) for the calcium. Maybe even some goats milk.
Other than that, I can't help you (sorry), but keep us posted.

Still no babies but she seems very restless this morning. Following me around and being vocal. Which she normally is but she’s been pretty quiet through the pregnancy. Lots of tail and rear end twitching, and her tail keeps puffing up. Almost like she’s in heat. Lots of grooming.

We have 2 kittens within about an hour. One right after the other pretty much. Not sure if she’s done or taking a break. She was in the box up until one was coming then she climbed onto onto the carpet....blegh. she’s in the box now with the kittens.. she insisted I put them in the box. Getting in and meowing at me, then getting out and nudging them.. then back in meowing at me.

She's no fool. Why mess up her box when she can birth on the soft carpet, lol.

A total of 5 were somehow jammed in there(very tiny cat). All are nursing.. from what I can tell anyways considering they’re all completely black. What an interested experience.

How long after birth can she be spayed? That’s the top of my list..

Kittens need to be weaned first. Kittens are fully weaned between 8 and 10 weeks.

Yes, mom can be spayed when the kittens are 8 weeks old. She can go back to nursing after her surgery if she is willing, but kittens should be able to eat on their own, too.
