Does anyone here watch movies? I just binge-watched The Last Kingdom and understand it's a series of 11 books. It helped that the main character looks just like my oldest son. The Silent Patient was good, rather different from the usual thriller. I took out Season 1 of Outlander due to everyone's raves about it. I just discovered the library is a better source of movies than Netflix.
Yes, I do. But since I am frugal and thrifty (a cheapskate) I usually stream from Prime. Not too many newer movies, though.
The best one from Prime is Good Omens. Yes, it is finally here. And Who is this? David Tennant is Crowley. I highly praise the series. Neil Gaiman wrote most of the screenplay, since Sir Terry died before it was filmed. Stays true to the book, no murdering a story like they did to Lord of the Rings.

STILL plowing through the Mrs. Murphy books. I'm about at the half-way mark now! The one thing that I do NOT like about them is the subtle fat-shaming that Ms. Brown indulges in. However, I try to ignore that and focus on the rest of the stories, which I enjoy.

Outlander is why I subscribed to Starz through my Hulu account. I'm just not willing to wait. Originally, Starz had planned it as a single movie, but when the producer actually started reading the series, he went to Starz and pitched it as a series, one season per book, to do full justice to the story. They've done pretty well, thus far!

I have 84 movies on my Fire 10. Mostly Dreamworks and Sony Animation. Best movie on it? Blazing Saddles - nothing else near.

Finished The Other. While reading it I realized I had never read it, only saw the movie. It was really good and creepy. I have several books on my Fire and The Death of Mrs Westaway. I read about 2 chapters of it and I know I'll like it.

I just bought a collection for 99 cents. 160+ Science Fiction adventures including Frankenstein, The Invisible Man, a bunch of Jules Verne and H. G. Wells, several H. Beam Piper, and so on. The review says typical (?) reading time 834 hours. Ya gotta love Amazon.

Still reading the Mrs. Murphy books, and will be for another few weeks. That said, I'm also starting on "Death by Didgeridoo," by Barbara Venkataraman (do NOT try to type that drunk!...not that I am, but still...). It was sent to me in pdf form by the author with a request that I read and review it! WHAT FUN! I have written reviews for an author before, but that was a volunteer thing...this was a cold contact! I'm excited that authors are reading my reviews on Goodreads and seeking me out now.

I was thrilled! I just want to do her justice. I'll read them, then go back and read again with a notepad next to me. First reading, I just want to enjoy.

I'm currently rereading Helter Skelter by Vince Bugliosi, about the Manson murders 50 years ago. It's not a good thing to be reading when you're sleeping downstairs on the sofa with the windows open due to dog sitting an overanxious Pug. She thinks she's a watchdog, though.

Now I'm reading the first book of a fantasy series. Someone I know has been pestering me to read it for a few months. I like it so far, but it is a little hard to keep all the names and places straight.
