  • How many different foods you use?
  • Do you give them together at the same time or like one brand wet food today, another the nexy day, etc?
There are 2-3 different wet foods Hima likes. The third one is saved to hide medicine when needed. The other two I go one day one of them, the next another, so she wouldn't get tired of the taste of either. But I wonder if it's bad for her digestive system somehow? She gives acid reflux symptoms after eating (heartburn once or twice, not vomiting) but that happens no matter what she eats.

Olive is a little piggy, so I usually can feed her what I want. Initially she had three meals throughout the day, and I rotate each meal which food I feed. She doesn’t get any dry because the combination made her throw up if she ate too fast.

Gohan is very picky, and he only eats one brand of food in two flavors. My BF is in charge of him, and he likes to rotate the flavor every 4-6 days. He also eats smaller amounts so we have upped he number of feedings to 4 per day, since my BF works from home and can feed them at noon.

What are the symptoms of heartburn in cats? I wouldn’t know if they had it or not.

Seconds/minutes after eating I see her abdominal region cramp just like burping and then she swallows. So she regurgitates a little bit liquid/food and swallows it back. I was told that’s a sign of acid reflux in cats.

That being said, mine have been known to get burnt out on some foods. When that happens, I just don't give that kind for a few weeks and let them forget that they dislike it!

I feed one dry food. Dr. Elsey's Cleanprotein chicken. Wet food is a variety because they are so picky. I do not feed the same wet food 2 meals in a row because they will usually reject it. Right now they eat Nutro Max canned but that's been discontinued. Of course. It's their favorite. :sigh:

They also like Wellness minced and cubed chicken and turkey. I bought a case of Avoderm chicken chunks and Tiki Cat Puka Puka Luau chicken to see if they will eat those since I need to find a replacement for the Nutro. They used to like Friskies poultry pates but lately they want nothing to do with them. I have to free feed the dry food because Lily is such a bad eater. If she rejects a wet food, she will eat the dry. Sophie's a better eater but not much. She's not big on the dry food. Fortunately, they are both good with drinking water since I have the fountain for them.

Oh no! I’m sorry. I hope they find something they like just as much :-)
Thanks. I got a couple of cases from Amazon but that won't last long. They only have 2 varieties left.

The girls do like the Wellness. I like to keep a few brands/flavors around because of how picky they are. Lily is very small by nature and cannot afford to lose any weight so that's another reason why I free feed the Dr. Elsey's dry. She loves it.

Right now we feed Toffee and Fudge Whiskas wet food for their breakfast and dinner, and for lunch we give them Harrington's dry. We also have Sainsbury's wet food and sometimes Felix. We're based in the UK, so I'm not sure how many of these you can get in the US.

I feed one meal of wet and mix it 1/3 Tractor Supply-2/3 Friskies (They didn't deal well with an abrupt change to the Tractor Supply wet all at once). The other two meals are dry, and I've been switching between Tractor Supply and Purina, generally some kind of "indoor" food, weight management or urinary health formula.

Binx and Kaia eat 3x a day....7am-ish, 2-3pm and 9pm. They eat wet food only and I rotate really whatever is on sale as they aren’t that picky.
Right now our rotation includes Friskies, Weruva, Wellness, Go, Authority and a couple cans of Rawz. I have a bunch of fancy feast in there but haven’t given them any yet.

Usually fill the bowls with kibble (natures variety orijen tiki just switch when they get bored) I only put out a certain amount of kibble and that’s what they get for the day. Then at night split a can and maybe a lil more kibble to get through the night depending on the cal of the can. Sometimes give frozen raw. Just depends if I feel like thawing it.
As far as canned brands I feed a giant variety. Penny is a lil picky b and won’t eat same canned food twice in a row lol.

I keep it the same- they don't mind at all and also if I give a different food (which isn't often) they are fine. Kibble is Wellness Core Original Turkey and Chicken with an automatic feeder at 7am, 3pm, 11pm, wet is in the evening, before 11pm and is homemade mostly raw chicken recipe (occasionally use turkey) using Dr. Pierson recipe.
Lucky they aren't picky.

I feed my cats wet food in the morning at 5am, then leave dry for them to eat all throughout the day. Then another wet food when I reach the house at 6pm, and another wet food before going to sleep at 9 or 10pm, then sometimes a light early morning meal of wet food at 1am.

They usually do not eat much every serving, so this one pouch or small can of wet food is divided between Bourbon and Barley everytime. For Graham I also give him half of his kitten food every meal.

So all in all, 3 to 4x of wet food in a day.
Dry food is always available.

My girl is still on kitten food, and there's limited variety in kitten food. We are currently rotating between 2 flavors of Blue Buffalo pate and one Wellness shreds in gravy for wet. She has a serving of dry left out to nibble on thru the day. I just make sure I don't serve the same flavor two days in a row

I feed a dry food mix of Wysong Epigen and Dr. elsey's clean protein a few times a week, but only about 1 tbsp at a time.

For wet, I have a few brands and flavors within those brands. I just feed a different one every meal, so she only gets the same brand+flavor twice a week.
