Avocados are so polarizing. People either love them or hate them. What camp do you fall in?

I love them. Plain or in guacamole is even better.

I'll eat it in very small portions (mainly sushi), but otherwise nope!

I didn't like them for years. It was a texture thing--I thought they were slimy. But somewhere along the line, I started trying them in salads or something and really came to like them. Now I eat them all the time. :yummy:

How could anyone not love avocados?!! I have about a dozen of them in the house right now. I cut them up and put them in salads, and slice them into sandwiches. I'd eat them every day if I could. YUM!!!

If they are in/on something I will usually eat them but I don't go seeking them out or add them if it's an option. Which would probably put me in the pass category but not a hard dislike for them. My niece is actually allergic to them (not life threatening, just annoying itchy mouth and best to avoid) so we have them even less often in our household then before.

I absolutely love them...or I did.
We believe an avocado is what gave me Samonella (couldn't test it cause I ate it). It will be a long time before I eat another though.

My first experience with avocado, studying abroad in France, was terrible. My host mom would prepare it and have the hole where the put is filled with a mixture of mayo and ketchup. I remember feeling like retching when I ate it and over fifteen years later, I still shudder at the thought of avocado, which is why I can only handle it in tiny amounts.

EWWWWWWWWWWWWW! I can understand your loathing, then, Lari Lari . I abhor ketchup, will not touch it. I used to work at a place that was taken over by a corporation based in, I think it was Alabama. A lot of, if not all of, the people they sent out to take almost everyone's jobs put ketchup on everything. EVERYTHING. IDK if it's a regional thing or not, but I tried to do likewise and couldn't.

No matter how many times I try them, they gross me out. I have only ever been able to handle a few bites of it in a guacamole dip, but for the most part, they make me gag.
