Then it's like this.
1-.82 = .18 (not 1.22)
.0055/.18 = .0367 -> 3.67%

Too high I'd say

I have recently made a phosphorus comparison between some brands' foods and things can get misleading with "Minimum." Quite a few brands only give you the minimum but that doesn't really say anything without giving a number of the maximum.

These were some of the ones I looked, as written on their website:

acana wild prairie: *minimum* % 1,10
hill's ideal balance grain free natural chicken & potato recipe adult cat food: % 0,77
n & d chicken & pomegranate: *minimum* % 1,30
brit care cat lucky i'm vital adult: % 1
naturea cat & kitten chicken: % 0,90
hills science plan feline adult optimal care chicken: % 0,73-%0,76
brit care cat missy for sterilised: % 0,60
pro plan sterilized adult optirenal salmon and tuna, sterilised: % 1,10

one wet food: royal canine digest sensitive wet food (pouch): %0,20

That's honestly the #1 reason why I'm hoping to find a food that works for my cat, from the brands that go on feeding trials in the USA. (Hill's, Royal Canin, Pro Plan, IAms.)

But also I totally agree with the others this is something to discuss with an experienced vet or if possible a veterinary nutritionist. I heard too low phosphorus is also a problem.

Can you specify whether you are talking about as fed or dry matter, in terms of minimum in this case? Thank you.

Yes, my cat enjoys the royal canin brand, but the fillers they use in brands like those concern me.

I did this about two months ago and I don't remember well to be honest but it was whatever on their website under Ingredients/Guaranteed Analysis.

There are many reasons I dislike Blue Buffalo, but yes, that’s not a good thing that they refused to give it to you.
So I called a bunch of companies about dry matter phosphorus in their retail foods yesterday and today. Royal Canin, Halo, Instinct. ect, and Blue Buffalo just to be sure. Ironically, all of the representatives were super nice, except for the rep at Blue Buffalo. The rep was rude. So it just sets in stone more reasons not to buy their food anymore.

Good for you for doing all this research. Your kitty is lucky!
