Most of the ones I've enjoyed are Australian bands that people don't know so well outside of Australia.
But I think my highlight was Bowie. I was living in Malaysia and he came to Singapore for the Serious Moonlight Tour in 1983. We drove down for it and hardly anyone was there! It was incredible as he still gave it his all, and we were right up the front.

Many years ago, I had opportunity to attend a concert with the star being Merle Haggard. I still love to hear him sing. I have been to several bluegrass music shows. I finally stopped that because they are too loud and it hurts my ears.

I'm still thinking about my answer for this one, but the best had to be Peter Gabriel in the 90's. He was always so far ahead of everyone else with effects and the stage was amazing.

That's a good question, I've gone to so many concerts but my memorable concert will be Blue October the very first concert I took my son to!!! He loved it and I loved sharing that special day with him...

For her first concert, I took our older daughter to an outdoor concert of Emerson, Lake and Palmer. A friend of mine was there who is about 6' 4" tall. I remember my daughter (who was about 11) looking up at him and nervously asking me if he was really my friend. He picked her up and put her on his shoulders. She had the best view of anyone at the concert. To this day (about 24 years later) she still wears the ELP T-shirt I bought for her at the concert.

I went to my first concert last month; which as BTS at Wembley Stadium in London. It was an amazing experience and the ambience was wonderful.

I've been to so many concerts, I don't know where to begin. But I'll choose the few that stick out in my mind.

Styx - Paradise Theater tour. DDY and TS were awesome.
BOC - They had a 50' flame breathing Godzilla on stage. It was so cool.
April Wine - a 20-30 minute drum solo- with his bare hands. There was blood.
AC/DC - 4 times. Bon Scott was such a personality. And Angus in his cute school boy shorts.
Ozzy - Not a huge Ozzy fan, but I wanted to see Randy Rhoades in action.
Honest though, I think the best concert was Belefonte. I took my mom on her birthday, because she loves the man. It was a small venue (a dinner show) and he was awesome.

The best was probably Queen (Freddie Mercury was still alive) with Billy Squier as the opener.
You lucky dog. I wish I could have seen that.

I wish I could have seen a lot of bands before one of the members died.

Oh gee, totally forgot about Gabriel. I saw him 3x in one year and it was really remarkable how the staging changed over that time. It was the Security tour. Started dark, and kind of spooky and by the 3rd concert was light and hopeful in feeling. I love him. One of my favorites.

The best was probably Queen (Freddie Mercury was still alive) with Billy Squier as the opener. Outstanding, and Billy was almost better than Queen! Post-Eagles Don Henley was a terrific concert, too.

And I loved the Judy Collins outdoor concert. Everyone sat on blankets on the grass. She took a deep breath at the beginning of one song and went into a coughing fit. “I’m so sorry,” she said. “I swallowed a bug!”

I wish I remembered Loggins & Messina at Blossom (in Ohio) my senior year of college because I love “House at Pooh Corner,” but I was...um...too...um...relaxed. Yes, that’s it. Relaxed. Ah, the ‘70s.
Yup, Queen was a big fav or mine also!

So many greats that I've seen. I still have a box of ticket stubs I saved. I keep saying one day I'll make a collage out of them but, I'm lazy lol

I should have done that, but they didn't survive the years. The only thing I still have is from REO Speedwagon.
I was at the concert and some guy came up to me and said that a couple of band members wanted to see me backstage. (I was up front in the mosh pit). He then gave me a VIP backstage pass. I didn't go of course, but I still have the pass.

Stones in Hyde Park in 1969. Lots of other bands but they stood out because of Jagger and his strut.

Tina Turner Private Dancer tour in Birmingham in the early 80's. An unknown Bryan Adams was the warm up but at the end Bowie made a surprise appearance. The place went wild.

Johnny Cash in Cardiff, I cant remember the year. He had videos playing behind him depicting the song he was singing. He was really memorable, you couldnt take your eyes off him.

Dr Hook, memerable because Ray Sawyer, the one with the eye patch, was in such a state that noone could understand what song he was singing. Memerable for all the wrong reasons.

Not a band as such but The National Opera Company version of Madam Butterfly. I was mesmerized. It was wonderfully sad. That Captain Pinkerton was a rotter.

I too like Merle. My dad played his music a lot so it kinda takes me back. I perform many of his songs when I play out with my guitar. I LOVE old country music. Johnny Cash, George Jones, Patsy Cline, and many others in that genre

I'm another one who has only been to 2 concerts in my life. The first was Ferrante and Teicher, best known for the theme from 'Exodus'. The other was Chuck Mangione in '72.

Santana (Rick is a huge, huge Carlos Santana fan and watching his face was better than watching the concert. I really like Santana, but not as much as Rick does.)

Aerosmith in the Poconos (Tyler was probably at his best during that concert. I love Aerosmith and it was simply excellent.)

Kiss (The first time we saw Kiss, we hadn't really heard of them; we were going to see REO Speedwagon as I liked them. And then Kiss came onstage and completely blew us away. Excellent. Just excellent. Of course, the fact that we were "relaxed" out of our minds didn't hurt.)

Deep Purple, Jethro Tull, and Emerson, Lake and Palmer (Oh my dear sweet lord, that was incredible. You can't get much better than that! We had seen both Deep Purple and Jethro Tull years and years ago before this concert; they got better with age. Deep Purple was outstanding. No Glenn Hughes and no David Coverdale. Gillian, Lord, Glover, Paice, and Blackmore. And they were awesome. I have been a Deep Purple fan forever.) As an aside, at the concert, I was standing next to this guy who was drunk/high/you name it. After he brushed against my butt the third time, I leaned over and said, "You touch me one more time, I guarantee you'll be wearing this chair. It won't be pretty." He looked at me, called me a B**** and went somewhere else. I didn't tell Rick about it until we were on the way home. He asked me why I didn't tell him when it was going on and I said, "I handled it." And that was that.

ACDC (We went to Toronto to see them. It was absolutely one of the best concerts I think I've ever seen in my life. It was even worth the accident that we were in while we were in Canada; we had to drive home with the front of the Tucson duct-taped. An interesting experience.)

Honorable Mentions:

We went to an early Eagles concert before they were famous. Wow.
We saw ZZ Top several times and they were always really good.
Billy Joel was excellent. I loved him.
We saw Mark Knopfler a few years ago (Dire Straits). I've been a Knopfler/Straits fan forever and I loved the concert. I'd go again.

1) Roger Waters (2017, Los Angeles): Roger Waters, from Pink Floyd’s concert. I was sitting in the stands the first half of the show, but during intermission, when I went to smoke a cigarette, I met two guys that had front row tickets and invited me to join them. Roger Waters came and shook everyone’s hand in the front row towards the end of his show. I almost passed out! A rock legend! Hahaha. It was absolutely amazing! And as a huge Pink Floyd fan, the set list was perfect and the lasers/lighting was incredible.

2) Coheed and Cambria (Baton Rouge, 2012): This is the band who’s concerts I’ve been to the most. This particular show will always stand out in my head because I got to see them in a small, college-town venue before they blew up. The singer, Claudio is amazing live.

3) Sick Puppies (2013, New Orleans): Very special to me because my boyfriend is the drummer and this is when we first met. :-)

4) Bring Me The Horizon (Los Angeles, 2019): Hands down, my favorite band. They played at The Forum. Oliver Sykes, the singer, sang/screamed so hard that night he had to cancel the remaining dates on the tour.

5) Marilyn Manson/Rob Zombie Twins of Evil Tour (Houston, 2012): My bf (at the time) and I won a Marilyn Manson lip-syncing contest online (that included me dancing on a pole in the background of the video submission),:flail: and that’s how we got tickets. This concert was great and perfect timing, it was the night before Halloween!! I was dancing around the entire show. Towards the end of his set, Rob Zombie hopped off stage and came straight to me and shook my hand before making his was around the arena. I about lost it then too! Hahaha!

I’ve had some great concert experiences and I’m grateful for them. I love music!
