Has any one had a cat test positive for herpes, chlamydia, calicivirus or any other URI that had no other symptoms other than conjunctivitis (one eye red/swollen with a slight discharge, no lesions or ulcers seen when dye was administered)?

Cat had no other symptoms. No sneezing, mouth lesions, fever, nasal discharge or coughing, they were eating and drinking and playing normally. However did share the conjunctivitis with another cat that has no other symptoms other than red eyes with slight discharge.

If you cat has tested positive for URI, what did they have and what were their symptoms?

It will take 5 days for me to get the results back and I am freaking out while I wait!

Respiratory PCR panel I believe. They took wet and dry swabs of the eyes and swabs of the throat

I have a herpes kitty, but she has other symptoms such as runny nose, lots of nasal discharge, and frequent sneezing. She also has a secondary psuedomonas infection that flares up from time to time. The vet should've given some eye drops or an antibiotic to help with the eye infection.

Sorry I was given antibiotic eye drops! Original goopy eyed kitty was better within 2 days of starting the drops but continued for the full week, other cat still has some redness around the eye rim even after a week of drops, so vet said to continue for a few more days.

I had a whole little of 5 young kittens with one eye infected each. All behaving normally. In the one to two weeks it progressed to mild sneezing. They were all started on doxy and eye drops. Now they are better. At the shelter they don't test for the exact microorganism.
