As some of you already know from my previous post, but for those that dont, I’m taking care of a colony in my mid size sub (Only four streets) However, I see more kittens every couple of weeks, eventhough I’ve tried to get the some of the females fixed there are some i missed or just wont go in the damn trap :(

Just tonight i saw 3 new kittens, in addition to 4 more that are a few wks old. They look skin on bone. I took the weakest one home with me as he’s too weak to get away and would probably get run over by a car. Ok im done venting , just feeling tired thats all.
Here’s looking at you kiddos :)

Unnnnh! I totally know that exhaustion and feeling of swimming against the current. I was often told by friends, “ you’ll never get them all, there are too many and they’re breeding faster than you can get them!” Sometimes I questioned it myself but I kept on because..... what else could I do? Well..... I finally did get them all! You are doing exactly what I was doing and I did survive and all the kitties did get spayed or neutered and the colony members are now all safe. It takes time. Sometimes I just came inside and cried. I’m so sorry you are so tired. :alright: Just don’t give up. Rest as you can but don’t give up. Take the time and just put one foot in front of the other. That’s the only way to get anywhere. It sounds like you have made great headway already. Just a little further! A good friend in feral rescues told me, it’s like how do you eat an elephant? ...... one bite at a time. You’ll get to your goal. If I can send you energy.... :vibes::redheartpump: here you go! As I said here early on in my last colony rescue, if you are a cat guardian, you are a kitty hero. A hero to people like me too! I wish everyone was like you! I could have used you in my corner as I was catching kitties.
I am so glad you brought that little one home. Such a beautiful baby! May the kitten find strength and love with you as it’s needed. Please vent anytime you wish. Many of us understand. I’ve done it too. Might do it again! We’ll be here. You have massive support here. :wave2: :grouphug2:

Thank you for the encouraging words. It just seems like im fighting a losing battle. With the cats on hand, occasionally i see a few more popped into my sub, which obviously took away what i accomplished up to that point. Its disheartening to find some of them dead from being hit by cars, eventhough we have an abundant number of speedbumps to slow cars down.
