N NY cat man : you've been mentioned.~ Is this song about our very own New York Cat Man in his younger days ...? ´
It's hard to do both! I see you found the Irish icon I just added today. I'd forgotten we'd had an Irish theme before we started using icons.I've been doing more catching up than thinking of new songs - sorry! I'll try to be a bit more active (still pg 41)
Nope, because I have never, ever set foot in NYC, and have no burning desire to do so.~ Is this song about our very own New York Cat Man in his younger days ...? ´
OOOOOH! Mine, TOO! When I was much, much younger, I decorated my entire room around the Disraeli Gears album cover. It was...arresting. I couldn't live with it today...Probably my favorite band of all-time is Cream.
That's probably a huge help to those who are listening to ALL of the songs from page 1 onward! I'm just listening to those I don't know. It's Monday, and new theme day. Though not sure if we need yet another theme, as it's been quiet in this thread lately. Guess summer time has everyone busy with other things.
Yes! I was excited to use it! I remember hearing that Samantha Mumba song in high school and having no clue she was Irish until I heard an interview with her on the radio where the interviewer said basically what I was thinking - that when she sings there's no obvious accent that would make you think "Ireland" but get to her speaking voice and it's like "They're always after me Lucky Charms!"It's hard to do both! I see you found the Irish icon I just added today. I'd forgotten we'd had an Irish theme before we started using icons.
Like me. Though I am skipping some of the ones I know, and only listening to parts of ones I don't care for. But some I'm hearing for the first time, and liking. Or hearing, and realizing I knew it, but never knew who sang it or what it was called. That's probably a huge help to those who are listening to ALL of the songs from page 1 onward! I'm just listening to those I don't know.
Ohhhhh.... a Kina Grannis song! Wonder when I'll get up to this page so I can listen to it.Oh Father - Kina Grannis
Another late entry for Father's Day -- my beloved dad passed 11 years ago yesterday. Love you and miss you, Dad.
Another late entry for Father's Day -- my beloved dad passed 11 years ago yesterday. Love you and miss you, Dad. And MJJ and Luther Vandross, too. RIP, three inspirations.
Thanks for sharing. Beautiful. I can't help wondering how amazing this would be if MJJ was here to do it.This probably doesn't fit into any themes but it gave me chills and the imagery is beautiful...
