Good Morning and Happy Sunday!!

I love talking about food and eating it. ;)

What is one of your favorite meals?

I like having this meal at The Hyde Park Steakhouse.
It's been years since I've been there, or something you
like to make or someone else.

Lobster Bisque
Salad
Filet Mignon

Their special potatoes that are made with Gruyere cheese,
white wine, but they won't give out the recipe.
Vanilla ice cream with strawberries, raspberries, and blueberries

So what is one of yours?

I'm not a great foody but like macaroni cheese with lots of grilled cheese on top. Fresh raspberries with vanilla ice cream is a treat for me and I often have apple or cherry pie with clotted cream.

I'm a sucker for fries/potatoes in many forms. My top picks being poutine with gravy (not too much cheese - hardly any, it's kinda gross) and the restaurant styles by cavendish farms. Probably not the healthiest options.

I also love Alfredo and vegetarian lasagna.

I'm so easy to please when it comes to food. I enjoy my own cooking (I do a killer Ropa Vieja) but I'm so so happy just to have someone else cook and clean the kitchen. As long as I'm eating without milk products I'm ecstatic.

My favorite foods are generally "ethnic" and since it's been too hot for oven cooking I'm really missing Turkish tagine dishes. If you have never had a tagine dish try it but wait for a cool day!

Lasagna made with Béchamel sauce rather then the ricotta filling
Toasted garlic bread
A fresh green salad.
I usually don't have dessert with a heavy pasta dish.
That sounds wondeful!!

In the kitchen
French onion soup
Prime rib with Yorkshire pudding (the pudding if I don't have the soup)
Really good mashed potatoes with gravy
A good Caesar salad or Mandarin Orange and Pecan Salad

And a huge slab of white coconut cake to finish it all off.

There's a good steakhouse/restaurant right across the border into New Hampshire from Vermont. JessesSteakhouse Best prime rib I think I've ever had. The French onion soup is simply delicious. They also have a great wine list. Whenever we go to King Arthur in Vermont, we always grab a Sat night reservation at Jesse's.

Do make a point of it:) My husband was cooking tagine dishes in other vessels for years and I bought him a tagine one year for his birthday. He poo-pooed it but because of the shape of the vessel it circulates the heat and moisture and whatever you cook in it comes out so so tender and juicy. It's also really easy. I do cornish hens in the tagine. Just plot a couple of hens in there with some chopped veg and perhaps some dried fruit- prunes, apricots, raisins and a little broth and it comes out amazing served over couscous or rice.

It's like crock pot cooking but doesn't take overnight:)
