I've gotten it at Chewy before. But Purina One is pretty similar, so I got a bag of that this time at the grocery store.
Purina One is okay, but I prefer Pro Plan. The neighboring town is not too far from where I live, about 45 miles (as the car drives) and it's highway for most of it. I should have gone sooner, but Wed. I didn't think of it, Thurs. everything was closed, Fri. I was just too tired to make the drive and the towns shut down on Sunday. So it has to be today.
Besides, Bashas has cantelope and orange flesh melons on sale for 50 cents/lb and a 6 oz blueberrys for 75 cents, and that sale ends tomorrow. I can eat and entire orange flesh in half a day, so I better get a few.

*Melon envy* :yummy:
I think you can get ProPlan from petco.com -- you might want to check that out. Just in case.

segelkatt segelkatt May you continue to be blessed with wellness and that very important good attitude!:)
I had a similar experience when I had my eye surgery and was very thankful to have the help of a dear friend.
kashmir64 kashmir64 Yes, *PRAYERS* and healing thoughts for Kumal and for you as well.

Old man Beagle passed around 1:45 this morning. Just buried him next to a big tree. It was quiet. He was lying down in his bed and gave 3 big convulsions, and was gone.
He's at peace now.
I am so sorry. Sending comforting thoughts for Kumal and Onsa.

Update on Shane:
The biopsy came back as a very aggressive cancer. They said he is going to have surgery to remove the tumer next week, not sure what day, then they will do chemo and it can take up to a year for recovery. If they don't do surgery he only has 2 months to live.
This is so not what I had hoped for, however...he does have a top-notch team on his side, and the article you linked gives every reason to hope for an excellent outcome still! I'm keeping his candle lit for as long as...well. As long as.

Thanks for the link, but for some reason UPS won't deliver to me.
They keep saying my address doesn't exist. I know they use the PO address database, and the PO says my address doesn't exist.
Thankfully, the fire dept says it does.
Oh, how well I know this type of stuff! When we lived in the Mojave, there was no house delivery. We had to get a P.O. Box at the community's PO. In order to do that, we had to have proof that we lived there -- a utility bill, for instance. In order to have a utility bill, of course, we had to have a PO box. *You can see how this went.* The same thing with the dump card we needed to get our trash accepted at the community landfill. *The dump card finally arrived long, long after we had contracted to pay monthly for a dumpster and county rubbish pickup.*:sigh::disturbed::disappointed:

I was a bit more fortunate. MVD accepted my physical address on my license, so I just showed that for a PO Box. We don't have city trash and the trash company I have just delivered a dumpster and sends the bill to the PO.
The owner of the company also has this problem.

Not feeling the greatest tonight (awful cramps, they always get bad certain days), and Libby immediately zeroed in on my abdomen when it was bedtime. She hasn't really budged since and is purring up a storm.

I swear that cat is psychic. Her intuition is spot on. I spooked myself badly the other night by trying to watch Ghost Adventures. Yeah.....nope. Libby hasn't been too impressed with me on that one.

As I wrote that she decided that I was feeling better and moved off me (and surprisingly I am). She's still sprawled near me making goofy faces at me, though.

Psychic cat, check.

I love that show, but for a different reason. To me, it's a comedy. I love to watch Aaron run from a room screaming like a little girl. And Zak is such a dick, if there's an afterlife, I want to come back just to screw with him.

If you haven't yet, watch Nuke's Top 5 on Youtube. There's a new one every Saturday and it's usually paranormal stuff.

I had a stage 4 cancer in my colon and it was surgically removed, I had chemo and radiation and lived for almost a year in a doze or whatever. That whole year (2001) is nothing that I really remember besides awful bouts of diarrhea and watching the cooking channel although I don't remember any of that really either. I only had my daughter who had a severe heart condition to help me, she did as well as she could although by the time I finally got well enough to notice the house needed a thorough cleaning (you've never seen so many dust bunnies under a bed!) She did as much as she could but we could not effort a house cleaner. How the laundry and cooking got done I don't know, I'm sure we did not eat take-out as we could not afford it. Thank goodness we had a dishwasher. My fellow employees and even my boss donated vacation time so I could still have a paycheck after I had used up my own and my sick leave and disability had run out. Bless them all. Not until after that year I could take in what had happened in NYC with the Towers having been destroyed, at the time it just sort of went by me and left no impression. I HAVE BEEN CLEAR OF CANCER SINCE THEN. A GOOD ATTITUDE HELPS. I NEVER THOUGHT THAT I WOULD DIE, I JUST SAID THAT THE DOCTORS WOULD CUT THAT THING OUT, IT WOULD BE RADIATED TO DEATH AND THE REST WOULD BE DESTROYED BY CHEMO AND IT DID. So keep a good attitude, I think that is what kept me alive.
Oh, you are a very strong woman!! What amazing work colleagues you had!
How is your ankle?

kashmir64 kashmir64 How are you, Kumal, and Onsa doing?
Onsa is still a little upset, but she cuddled with me and she's eating just fine. Kumal was only that one day. I think the smell of death reminded him of his bad experience. Me, I'm okay. Like I said, we've been expecting this for some time. Although I do miss him, I had closure and am at peace with it.
Thanks for asking.

So glad she cuddled and Kumal is not upset. I'm glad Old Man Beagle passed at home in his bed with you close by.

Hugs for all of you, :hugs::hearthrob::redheartpump:

I was reading an article about relationships and when I was done, I strolled down to the bottom of the page.

I saw another article that said Cameron Boyce had died. I couldn't believe it - thought it was a hoax or something. So, I googled his name and unfortunetly, it's true.

I watched "Jessie" a lot when I was younger and some of the other shows he was in as well. I don't even know how to feel right now.

Mia6 Mia6 thanks for your concern. The ankle hurts like all get out a big part of the time. I wear the walking boot from the time I get out of bed and take Aleve for pain. At night I wrap a reusable ice bag made for this kind of injury around the ankle as I tried to sleep with the boot on but it weighs me down and I can't get comfortable. During the night I have to change the ice bag as it has melted and it goes back in the freezer, thank goodness I have two of them. I manage and I am really glad that I have a LitterRobot so that I don't have to scoop all the time. But it is a drag and things I had wanted to do I can't because there is too much walking involved.

You're supposed to keep it elevated a lot of the time, right? I hope you heal quickly.

Thinking of you and sending gentle hugs so you mend soon.

My chiro told me to wrap a bag of frozen peas in a cloth and use that for an icepack. Of course, I don't like to waste food, but it is lighter than ice and lasts quite awhile (and you can refreeze it a bunch of times, of course.) Also, a friend gave me a thing that's basically a long cloth cylinder filled with rice and herbs, that has cloth handles on both ends. You can either microwave it for 2 min. or you can put it in the freezer. It lasts indefinitely and smells nice because of the herbs (lavender). She got it at Bed Bath & Beyond, I think. You can tie it around your ankle. I really love this and rely on it a lot.

The bag I have is filled with some kind of gel so that it stays pliable even when frozen and it lasts about 4 hours before it gets warm again, it's called COLPAC cold therapy and I have had for literally decades and I keep it in the freezer at all times. I also tie it around my ankle at night to keep it in place.

Did you feel both earthquakes? Around here nobody felt the second one.
