Hi lovely people,

I have a couple cats that came from 2 different litters but from the same mother. Unsure who the father was as the mother was outdoors (I adopted them from a coworker, I explained the importance of spaying) Anyhow, I am thinking a mix between Ragdoll and Birman, possibly Siamese. The Male cat has gray "boots" and the female (approximately named) has white paws which is why we call her Mittens. Both have blue eyes and a white/ gray coat. No undercoat. Mittens fetches paper wrappers and brings them to me. So cute! Henry is affectionate, follows us around but not much of a fetcher. The personality fits both of the online descriptions if these 2 breeds but they also sometimes have the personality traits of siamese. I know each litter involved a cat that was orange, multi color coat with being predominately white. Every cat in each litter had blue eyes. The mother's color coat was more of the calico with the orange. It's a wonder we had these 2 beauties. The gray face in the photos is Henry and the other bigger kitty is Mittens. One other thing to mention is though they get along 90 percent of the time, they do eventually get tired of each other and fight. Mittens is also very careless and will roll off of furniture, pretty much lay on her back any chance she gets. I almost want to call her aloof, clumsy, and carefree. She even goes in front of you when walking and lays on her back to trip you (although im sure it's love?) Henry is not like this, although both enjoy their bellies rubbed. Hope these actions help in determining breed types. Your help is much appreciated and TYIA.

If all kittens have blue eyes I presume all are points.

Do you have poc of momma?

I presume all parensts are points.
Someone has white spots.
I unfortunately don't have a pic of momma kitty. What would draw the conclusion someone has spots? Very curious :)

Spots on tummy or spots on sides?
Spots on tummy are common on tabbies.

Spots on sides, ie spotted tabby, arent common but not unique.

Anyway one of parents seems to be tabby.

Lovely cats! I would describe Henry as a bluepoint domestic longhair, and Mittens as a bluepoint and white domestic longhair. The genes for pointed coloration and long hair are widespread in the domestic cat gene pool, and do not indicate Ragdoll or Birman ancestry. Temperament traits are not a reliable indication of breed ancestry. Most cats are not any particular breed, and additionally are not mixes of breeds (unlike dogs).

What we know from looking at Henry and Mittens is that their parents carried the recessive genes for colorpoint, long hair, solid (non-tabby), and dilute (blue). The parents themselves could have been pretty much any color and hair length. Because white markings are a dominant trait, this must have come from one of Mittens' parents; since you describe the mother as a calico, I'm assuming that means she had white markings.

When you say "every cat in each litter had blue eyes," are you talking about blue eyes as adults, or as kittens? All young kittens have blue eyes, and if they were adopted out as young kittens, you may not have seen their true eye color.
