I was looking for a Ragdoll kitten after the passing of my kitten Luka from a friend. And every website has a wait list except a few and this one has sort of a wait list but still kittens available. It's called "Adorablerags Ragdolls" and the website is Adorablerags Ragdolls - Ashland Kentucky and to me they look legit, but I just can't help but be suspect of every website I visit. The breeder here says she's gonna have a kitten left over after her 2 deposits pick out which kittens they want. The only thing I don't like about the website is that I can't click on the pictures to reverse google search them. The Ragdolls are $1000 for pet and $1500 for show quality. And a deposit of $300 for a pet and $500 for a show kitten. This is my first time looking for a pure bred kitten and so I'm hesitant on putting $300 for a kitten unless I know for sure they have the kittens.

Are you looking for a pet or show quality kitten?

I've looked at their website and would want to do a lot more research before purchasing a kitten from them. They are registered with both CFA and TICA, but apparently show only in TICA. Very few of their cats are listed with titles, and those that have titles are from a number of years ago.

The cats who do have top titles, such as Regional wins, were not bred by Adorablerags but obtained from another cattery to add to their breeding program.

None of this means that they don't breed quality cats. It simply means that they are not showing much.

The contract concerns me more than the lack of titles. They have a lot of rules about how you must care for the kitten/cat in your own home, including what to feed, how long you can leave him alone, how much exercise you provide, etc. At the end of the contract they state
"The Buyer agrees if any of the above terms are disregarded, that Adorablerags may reclaim this kitten/cat without a refund of the purchase price."

That last part of the contract is a huge red flag for me. Personally, I would not be willing to sign such a restrictive contract. It sounds like they're letting you pay for the privilege of fostering their kitten, and the breeder is the one who gets to decide if you're doing it properly.

Ask them for pictures or videos with a specific item featured in the shot if you're afraid that they don't really have kittens. Right now I'm looking for a puppy, and I asked the breeder to include a post card in the video with my name on it.

I'd also ask for their vet references and those of previous buyers.

There are ragdoll rescues. You could get a ragdoll and provide a home for a cat who had lost their home and family. Please consider it. Google for rescues near you. Quick google got this, ► Ragdoll Rescue I know nothing about them, but you were researching breeders anyway.
