I ordered omegease

Anyone have exp with omega 3, 6, 9 fish oil, can i syringe this directly in mouth of cat?

My cat doesnt want to eat canned food which really really sux...Hes itchy and I think he has feline hyperesthesia sometimes, like last night...He licks his tail to no end this morning until I put h8m in his outdoor tent then hes happy..

I really want him on better nutrition but he refuses everything, tabletop food to tuna to everything....The cat with a million problems, prob all due to nutrition...

Im really hoping omega 3 will alleviate his itchiness etc....Maybe hes lacking this oil due to kibble

Hi!
Rather than syringing it (not a suggested method due to possible aspiration) try putting some on a little food and letting your cat lick it, or handfeed some food that has a little oil with a tongue depressor or wooden model stick (available at hobby stores).

Cats don't need much, check with your veterinarian as to how much :)

How about trying an omega 3 cat treat? Here's one: https://www.chewy.com/naturvet-skin-coat-plus-omegas-cat/dp/128192

The itching could be caused by an intolerance to something in the current food. have you discussed possible food allergies with the vet? There are LID dry foods you can try.
I already ordered the oil, I have kirkland oil in my house, im wondering if i can give him some till the cat one gets here

Dr becker on youtube said better not to give omega 6 to cats but the one I ordered is 3,6 and 9 for cats which is again the Omegease 3,6 and 9 fish oil for cats......

Hes always licking his tail, his tail doesnt have a lot of fur on it now, I dont know if its summer coat or he licked it all off?

Of he doesnt like it on his kibble I might put it on his paw or give orally as I already squirt .5 ml uromaxx into his mouth daily..

Funny when I put him in his outdoor tent he doesnt scratch or compulsive groom in there, he just chills out

Is my amazon links appearing?

I can see the Amazon link.

Do you have any calming sprays or diffusers you could use in the house to try and help his stress? And some music, try MusicForCats . com or classical harp music :)

or give orally
Try to avoid this, there's a risk of aspiration.

Yea i do but Oliver is retarded, like all my problems I post on these forums are about Oliver..I literally go from one problem to the next, hes been itchy for years though and I dont want steroids for him...Feliway I use but it dont do nothin for him, he doesnt even like cat nip, he acts like hes allergic to it...

Oh yea, he shakes his head a lot too....allergys, food allergies...i dunno..I thought about ordering that nutrascan allergy test...Honestly id spend any amount of money to make him happy

Has anyone mentioned chamomile tea, (from a grocery store, garden grown chamomile isn't safe for cats) brewed, cooled and applied to the itchy spots? It's anti fungal, anti bacterial and will ease itchiness.

There's a food I just heard about, called Essence, it's described in this post;

Cat Food Without Peas, Pea Fiber, And Pototoes?

Nice ingredients, protein is super high though at 40%, wonder how it would effect his constipation...He just started royal gastro intestinal high energy which has him pooping good with no constipation...Downside is it has all that fillers that might be making him itch i have no idea

Ill try chamomille tea

I might be ordering that essense food to try, it doesnt seem like it has allergic type of ingredients, im looking at the seafood one with 5% fiber and omegas

Oliver wont stop licking and chewing his tail, the hair has thinned dramatically...I will be taking him to the vet

I decided to bypass the veg and their steroid drugs, im on my way to petco to get blue basics limited ingredient kibble...For years I suspect food allergy, time to try to remedy this...

Limited ingredient with omega supplement....Sigh I hope this works for Olivers sake....

Started to get anxiety watching his behavior which can take me to a dark place if im not careful

Try chamomile tea for you as well - or if necessary maybe holy basil or L-tryptophan.
Keeping my fingers crossed for Oliver!!

I did a special trip to town and bought him blue basics grain free fish and potato, he eats it with the gastro food...Now to just wait for the fish oil, i was tempted to buy some down there but the one I ordered is already in the mail....

Hoping he does not throw up on the blue basics and no constipation, he regurgitated blue buffalo sensitive stomach for a month back in feb...

I hope the limited ingredients gives him relief once fully transitioned to it

Im so tired of switching his food

I was reading that fish diets make uti symptoms worse! Oliver had cystitis in may 2017 and now im nervous...On the flipside I give him uromaxx daily which acidifies urine with vitamin c..

I also bought a bag of blue basic turkey kibble in case he did not like the fish...Now im wondering if I should give him the turkey instead...sigh

Fish oil isn't considered to be part of a "fish diet." It's just a fatty acid.
