Even though there is a steady rain outside there are so many birds singing.

Film Night at the Boston Pops :D The live concert was recorded in May and it's being broadcast now online through the local classical music radio station.

Film Night is playing at 99.5 WCRB | Classical Radio Boston until 9pm EST. It's basically a tribute to John Williams  The actual live concert is better because they show film scene excerpts on a large screen above the orchestra.

I went to Boston University and one of the things I miss most is the Boston Pops. I can remember hearing similar concerts with the scores of Out of Africa (my fave!), Somewhere in Time, Jaws, Close Encounters, Body Heat, Star Wars, Jurassic Park, etc. I may have to check out the recording you're listening to ASAP! I'm jealous because at the moment I'm in Target and all I'm listening to is the BEEP BEEP of items being scanned.

The Pop's 4th of July concert is coming up and will be live streamed online and on some tv stations: Boston Pops July 4th | 2019

The local classical radio station used to record all the live Pops concerts and air them a week later. Now they only do the popular Film Night concert and that airs maybe a month after the live show :sigh:

The Boston Pops has a couple of music CDs available. I think John Williams has his own CDs, compilations of his music from over the years.

I'm listening to (and half watching) "Angels and Demons" (Tom Hanks movie). Lily is grooming herself, so I can hear all the licking. My husband is watching something downstairs, so I can hear faint voices. Bynx is trilling and running around (we have a fly in the house) so I've got those noises too. Chester is napping (yay!)
And I'm listening FOR the timer on the washing machine, it should be done soon.

I'm in my car driving to Key West for work, and I'm listening to "Madame X," Madonna's latest album. I gotta say, this is absolutely her best work since "Confessions on a Dance Floor." It's the number one album on the Billboard charts right now, and the first single from it, "Medellin," is number one on the Billboard Dance charts. I get that Madonna has become a little odd here lately but for a sixty one year old pop star, that's quite an accomplishment. "God Control" and "I Don't Search, I Find" are my two faves!

Lucky you!! Madonna and Key West! My ex-husband and I used to spend a week there every February. love it! Had no idea she was 61.
