I'm guessing you also saw both Sex & the City movies, #1 & #2? If so, which one did you like better? I love the movie, Pretty in Pink especially the music.

The weather feels like October not June but we didn't let that stop us from going to our favorite annual street fair today. It's a tradition that we've attended for the past 25 years.

I liked the first Sex&theCity better but I still liked the second one. There is talk of a third.

Pretty in Pink is so good. Love the 80s films.

I liked the first S&C movie better also. Although there was talk of a script for a third movie I heard it's not going to happen.

The street fair takes place every year in conjunction with a morning race that is walking distance from the lake. Although we loved the music, artists, food trucks and animal friendly atmosphere it was rather nippy at 54 degrees so I stopped to get a warm coffee beverage several times. We had a wonderful day, ate great food and met many nice, friendly people.

Lelia has been sleeping with me for several days now. I'm so happy she's back to doing this again. I miss when she changes up her routine.

I'm also happy with how the dinner I made tonight came out. Better than the last time I made it.

Oh, man, I love bacon and I love goat cheese. Glad they turned out!

Kitten season is in full swing, and the shelter has 9 so far: two orphans (10 weeks), a litter of two (also about 10 weeks old) with their stray mom, and a litter of five (born May 21) with their barn cat mom. The litter of five is already eating solid food. They're irresistible.

Are you going to adopt one? How are the orphans doing?

Although we have rain, the birds are having a concert and it is loud! Hannah is at the store. She brought me tea sandwiches from her Bridal shower, so good.
The Vincie girl and Big Cal are on the deck because we've had a break in the rain. Hannah was late because of all the flooding and closed roads. I told her not to come in if it wasn't safe but she made it. She's making bacon and 2 eggs over easy for breakfast.

So good food and good company. Hannah is the sweetest young lady.

We took in 48 feral cats today to be spayed or neutered! 11 different people brought in ferals. Makes it worth being there at 7:30 in the morning!

1/2 inch of rain this AM, more on teh way. High of 79, absolutely gorgeous! we have not watered our lawn yet, timely rains, and haven't turned on our air conditioning. What more could you ask for!?

You guys are awesome!

While running an errand this afternoon I stopped for an Americano at our local coffee shop. It was nice enough to sit outside and I was petting a charcoal lab who kept me company. One of the ladies at his table started talking to me and it turned out she's a huge cat lover, she has a Balinese and Ragdoll. I meet the best people at this coffee shop.

Such a glorious day today!Got my oven fixed...happy dance!....and had an electrician come and install a surge protector double breaker in my breaker box,so now all my appliances are protected.YAY!We had rain most of the day today,but it was a light gentle rain...no storms...with an occasional rumble of thunder.The parent pairs are still bringing the little ones to the feeders to eat,but I have noticed the babies are starting to come by themselves with mom or dad close by,and boy do they talk to each other!Great entertainment for the kitties and for me!

Well, amidst incessant rain, dangerous flooding, etc., there was a 3 hour break from the rain yesterday, so the girls and I were able to be on the deck. The Vincie girl, of course, sat on Harvey's deck and peered into the slider to see if she could view him. Callie snooped around the yard and ate grass while I read.

No rain expected today! I'll plant my two tomato plants, the soil is already dug, took me two days pacing myself, but it is ready. . I'm in the mood for pancakes so Hannah will make them. I have a bottle of Maple Syrup and lots of butter, yum, and I was thinking of fresh blueberries.

I had blueberry pancakes yesterday morning. Even though they were just frozen, they were pretty good. I had maple syrup and vegan butter with them.

I tried a new exercise class today and was a bit nervous but it turned out to be great! The teacher was personable and knowledgeable, other participants were helpful and I felt like I got a good workout.
