So, John got fired yesterday. This manager has necessary liked him and treated him like crap since she took over a year ago. Three months ago, he filed a complaint with HR because of it. Almost immediately, he was promoted to second assistant manager. This woman had no say in it.

Two weeks ago, he told someone to clean the donut robot. It was cleaned. The person making the donuts then set the blade wrong. It cut off the tops of a bunch of donuts and they landed in the grease, making it look like it wasn't cleaned.

Manager fired John saying it hadn't been cleaned. The store's cameras would prove her wrong, but even if he got his job back, she'd be even worse. She said he wasn't setting a good example as manager. I feel like it's retaliation.

He's going to complain to HR again. And he's already submitted half a dozen applications to other places. I'm trying to be positive here, but I'm scared. We can maybe survive for 2 months without him working if we penny pinch like crazy.
He was fired for reasons that were NOT MISCONDUCT which is deemed to be ON PURPOSE AND THAT HE KNEW BETTER. PM me and I can probably help him in case he is turned down for unemployment benefits. No, I don't charge for the knowledge I have from previously being employed to make just those kinds of decisions. It does not matter which state you live in, the rules are basically the same everywhere.

No I didn't-we take her to a lady in Madbury Nails to tails-Bee needs 2 people to hold her down because she's a bity snappy brat when buzzing off her fur on her legs/belly. She loves her haircut and she walks around preening. She's just so stinking adorable!

She didn't follow corporate policy when it came to the firing. He wasn't written up, no warnings. ABC's without grievous misconduct, as a full time employee and management, no less, he hasn't supposed to be fired without 3 write ups. There was no grievous misconduct. That would mean they, sexual harassment, drug use, a physical altercation. "Not setting a good example as manager" does not fit the bill.
I am really sorry to hear this. Here's hoping for something to happen to this horrible person. If I didn't like the results from said individual I had no qualms about going over their head to their boss. Keep us posted!

My sister is getting married tomorrow to her girlfriend and it's a wedding at the local restaurant that they like. They both are wearing beautiful wedding dresses. I will be her bridesmaid and wearing a silver dress. I even trimmed my hair! I had to spend extra time scrubbing my hands since ive got farmers hands. Luckily she's cool about it and understands.
How was the wedding?

Ok here's the Bee :)

She got soaked because she was hot yesterday. She actually loved the water on her. She then proceeded to roll in the sand :flail:

Alicia I hope something comes up soon!!!

I can understand your worry!

Got my first "blue" Petunia to open and it's a beautiful deep purple color. Nothing like the pictures. I applied some more bloom booster this morning before I sped off to work.

I definitely will grow seedlings next year now yhat I know what needs to be set up. And plan to RIP out the tub in master bathroom and put down water friendly floor, add shelving and outlets to set up grow lights for the little plants.

These are waiting to be put into buckets. I don't think I will get my raised bed built in time so this year it's container gardening.

How was the wedding?
The wedding was smashing! It was hot out and we were baking under the sun, the bride was an hour late lol. Some of it my fault. The other bride drove herself in her gown to the wedding. I was supposed to drive my sister to the wedding but someone took my stuff out of my car and drove it over to the house we were at to get our makeup done then I drove to my sisters in her partners Jeep which when I showed up at my sisters they informed me that my dress is at the other house. So turned around back to her house. It's 3 miles down a dirt bumpy road so speeding was not an option. So that wasted 30 minutes. We didnt get done hair until 1230 which I said we need to get a move on.

I finally got zipped up and tucked up at 1:15 and the venue was 20 minutes away. Lol. Then we didnt do a rehearsal so no one knew who goes where. Luckily my sister showed up 15 minutes after we showed up. The cake didn't show up until 1pm. All the prep stuff was supposed to be done at 11am. The dj didnt show up until 1pm, there was some other people who were supposed to be there at 11am who didnt show until 12:45pm. Luckily it was an informal setting so it worked out. My dad were a "monkey suit" he called it. He looked smashing in it then rifht after the ceremony he changed into his jeans and tshirt and the kids also changed into shorts or at least the boys did. The girls stayed in their dresses.

I had planned on bringing a change of clothes. I abhor dresses and hose but I figured for my sister I'd put up with it for a few hours. My dress was way too long and some of the ladies kept making comments on why didnt I get it shortened? I said I didnt know anyone to do it and it was mail order purchased.

My sister and I ran all over NH trying to find wide width shoes and we ended up with sandals for her and ballerina shoes for me from Walmart. Even Macy's dress shoes didn't come in any wide width. I said let's go barefoot and she laughed.

It was a beautiful day and the decorations were in white and deep purple. The centerpieces were in purple and similar colors of roses with a battey candle in the middle with butterflies on it.

I will have to photoshop the wedding pictures but everyone looked great and we had a lovely dinner. My dad was too impatient to wait for being called to dinner so he helped himself first lol. The wedding started at 2 and done at 2:20 then headed inside. We had to wait for the brides to make the toast and call to serve for buffet dinner. We laughed when we saw him helping himself to the buffet dinner.

The food was awesome and wish we could have taken doggie bags home because they had so much food! Baked haddock, prime rib, chicken and roasted potatoes and green beans and spring lettuce salad with Italian dressing. The dj was good but they played so much rap type music that the adults were getting annoyed lol. The kids did karaoke and some adults too. It was a good time!

The cake was awesome. Nice buttery frosting and moist cake. Even Jon was munching on the candy...he has a fetish for candy bars. His entire 70+ years he's eaten nothing but herseys bars or other candy. Me I blew up like a blimp on his diet. So yes the candy we munched on while waiting for the call to go to the buffet.

Haha, my SIL's dad did that at the wedding too. Some guys just don't have any tolerance for suits.

Beautiful wedding! I love the butterfly theme.
There's a story about the butterflies. My sister told the story,
Evidently when she proposed to her partner, a monarch butterfly came flying around and landed on their joined hands. Our mother has been gone for now 11 years, my sister said she felt the presence of our mother there and felt the butterfly was a symbol of our mother looking on with approval. My sister says all the time that she can feel mom's presence at her place. So that's why the butterflies.

The wedding looked beautiful!

John's interview on Wednesday is for a job his friend set him up with. She messaged him last night and said she'd be training him. The way she talked, it's like he's already got the job and the interview is just a formality, but she's not supposed to say. I hope so. Unfortunately, it would be overnights. :( But, a job is a job.
