We have our regional wards show next weekend, but I am not entering it. Sterling is in his summer undies. He lost coat due tot he warm weather and trying (no luck so far) to breed. Showing a long haired cat is a challenge in the summer, especially a whole cat. Hormones can play havoc with the coat. My clubs show is in August and I HOPE against hope his coat will be better by then.

The only consolation would be they are ALL going to be in this condition if it is regional. Good luck in August!
No exactly. We don't have air conditioning and Sterling runs the house. After all he is a pet first and a show cat secondly. Some keep their cats contained in an air conditioned area, away from carpet (that can ruin a coat). Whole males usually are not allowed to breed while being shown either as that causes loss of coat.

My kids always claimed I loved the cats(and dogs) more than them!:flail:The pets are part of the family, but of course eventually Sterling will have his own bedroom when he starts siring kittens so we don’t have a kitten factory. He will get the run of the house when I shut the girls up- we will split time so no one gets shut up for long periods. Actually at night he goes into his room now of his own accord instead of sleeping in our room, which I would prefer.

Still a beautiful cat. Can't wait to see pictures of him in full coat.
