Mamanyt1953 Mamanyt1953 Done! I sent out an email last night. No answer....yet.
First things first...I did get a very quick response, and sent an email back to them saying that I applaud their efforts to correct this situation, and will be monitoring it closely before making a decision as to whether or not I will end my boycott.

Went to lawyer's office and signed paperwork for my name change...I think now my next step will be to go to court.

Am in the process of making a list off all the people who need to be notified about my name change...heaven help me!

I had my planning meeting last night and, til I got home, my head was wanking out. It was bad. Got home, took my work clothes off, threw on a tee-shirt and went to bed. Slept til 11:00, got up and took my BP pill, and went back to bed, and slept until 4:30 this morning, when the cats decided enough was enough and I needed to get up. I fell back asleep, though, and didn't get up until 5:15. I must have been pooped and the headache didn't help. Thankfully I feel better this morning. And getting up at 5:15 was almost like a vacation!
  • Breakfast for the kids, walked two miles, and got ready for work
  • I brought the Tucson in, so I could stop for gas
  • Hair appt tonight
  • I'm going to start going through a new stash of cookbooks tonight :banana1:

ah!! sweet tea! something new
yes, and i've been waiting for the temperature here to get warm enough to make it! i made raspberry sweet tea (decaffeinated)...yummmm. :D

today (technically was yesterday, but i haven't gone to bed yet...so still today to me) i washed the dishes, scooped the litter boxes, made a loaf of bread machine bread, and re-pre-measured for the bread machine bread batches that i keep on hand. my cats also had 'salon day', their claw trimming, with treats as a 'thank you from meowmy, for allowing me to trim your claws'. i took out the trash, and mowed the lawn. i also moved some dinner servings and some dessert servings to the fridge to thaw.

i was able to squeeze into my day, watching two episodes of a tv show.

micknsnicks2mom micknsnicks2mom We make sweet tea here, too, with the sugar syrup. I love iced mint tea. I'll get the water boiling, then run out to the garden for fresh mint leaves. Boston Mint Tea bags are really good for the winter months when there's no fresh mint. Comes in a gold tin. I also make a lemon and orange-ade with sugar syrup. Yum
  • Breakfast for the kids, walked 3.5 miles, did a Chewy order, sorted laundry, and got ready for work, put in for a vacation day for Friday (I have four days left that I had to use by Friday, so I also had to put in for carry-over of my vacation days. That was approved, so now I have until the end of July to use them.)
  • Put gas into Clarence
  • Rick's coming in for lunch. We're going to the farmers' market for hot sausage sandwiches. Dessert will be a small ice cream cone. I think I'll grab two pork chops that I can fill for Sunday dinner. We haven't had filled pork chops in a while.
  • Laundry night (unless Rick does it today)
  • Trash night
And that's it for us.

no, no caffeine here. if i did, i'd likely be running around doing things like the Energizer Bunny, 24 hours each day. :nono:

Winchester Winchester -- this year, i have some peppermint (herbal) tea bags, which i plan on using one or two (regular sized) tea bag(s) with one gallon sized decaffeinated tea bag, to make minted decaf sweet tea. i have you to thank for this idea! :worship:

sugar syrup is interesting, to add when making sweet tea! i've just been adding white sugar to the hot tea, after it steeps, stirring to dissolve and then cooling the sweetened tea. :dunno:

today i've washed the dishes, and scooped the litter boxes. i'll slice the loaf of bread machine bread i made yesterday afternoon, spend some time with my budget and on some planning.

after that, i'll play some computer games, continue with a jigsaw puzzle, and watch some tv.

micknsnicks2mom micknsnicks2mom I will also often just add the white sugar to the hot tea and give it a good stir before adding any cold water or ice cubes. We drink a lot of iced tea around here. I'm trying to cut back on the sugar, but we can't drink completely unsweetened tea.
  • Breakfast for the kids, walked four miles, and got ready for work
  • Not much really going on tonight and Rick has been taking care of the litter boxes through the week, so I don't have to deal with them that often
  • I've started watching The Dead Files on the Travel Channel on Thursdays, so will likely watch that while I'm reading tonight.
I need a nap!

today i've washed the dishes, scooped the litter boxes, and moved the washer load to the dryer.

i'll fold/put away the load of laundry this afternoon, as well as (almost certainly) make more sweet tea. i'll also spend some time on some planning.

after that, i'll play some computer games, continue with a jigsaw puzzle, and watch some tv.

We finally got the pool opened yesterday; it's a lovely shade of green. We should have opened it last month, but we were busy with other stuff. It'll take about a week before it clears up, but then it'll be ready to jump in. I also mowed the yard yesterday (Rick finally got all the cannas planted at the end of the pool, outside the fence), so all I have to do today is push-mow to trim.
  • Breakfast for the kids, emptied the dishwasher, and am sitting back here with my morning coffee. Must scoop the boxes and do a quick vacuum.
  • I put butter in the microwave (safe from curious kitties) to soften. I'm going to make the batter for Lemon Sponge Cake Cookies tonight and will bake and frost them Sunday morning. These cookies are decadent with the lemon frosting. Yum Recipes - Cookies Go down the page; the recipe is there.
  • We need to go down to the bypass (about seven miles or so) and then write down directions to get to our house for the people who are delivering the shed. GPS has listed a road as still open, but it hasn't accessed the highway for at least three years. We're going to figure out a good way for them to deliver without a lot of hassle for that long truck. Then I'll email the directions to them. They can take it from there.
  • Pick up meds at CVS/Target
  • Trim around trees with the push mower
And that will be it for our day. We still have some weeding in the flower beds to do, but tomorrow's another day.

Winchester Winchester Wowza, a pool, she-shed, darling kitties, great food, and the Beast!
What more could a girl ask for? I'll be right over. ;):flail::clap:

The lemon cookies sound amazing as do the peanut butter sammies, and everything else on the page.

  • Boxes
  • Tea on deck
  • Laundry
  • Chores are behind because Hannah was ill on Thursday so I will pace myself and get as much done without setting off a flare-up. Hope the rain holds off.

Cleaned the mom’s house and convinced her to let me take her filthy throw rugs for washing. Stopped at the hardware store and picked up lumber to build a replacement ground platform feeder. And met with a contractor about repairing plaster from my old roof leak.
