Alicia88 Alicia88 What about unemployment benefits? Can he get that? Have you tried appealing to DFCS or Social Services to intervene on your behalf? Surely there must be some government agency that can assist you in getting help. Your husband worked and payed taxes and is entitled to help during this rough spot. Document everything said and done. Time calls coming in or go out, everything. Legal Aid services may be of help. One call from them should get that woman to step back. Hang in there.

He applied for unemployment. No word on whether it was approved or not.

We went back to the food stamp office and they said they would mail it to corporate, but that office is notorious for not sending it back, which is why they like to have people take it management directly. We might have to see if we can get a free consult with a lawyer. I don't know how hard it is to prove retaliation, but if we can, that was an illegal firing.

Legal aid should at least be willing to make a call to get the assistance going or find out why that woman is trying to interfere. I hope they can do more for you. If you could prove she actively tried to prevent your child from getting assistance...... the company might recognize her for what she is. That could put a different slant on their opinion about the firing.

She didn't follow corporate policy when it came to the firing. He wasn't written up, no warnings. ABC's without grievous misconduct, as a full time employee and management, no less, he hasn't supposed to be fired without 3 write ups. There was no grievous misconduct. That would mean they, sexual harassment, drug use, a physical altercation. "Not setting a good example as manager" does not fit the bill.

I'm trying to be positive here, but I'm scared. We can maybe survive for 2 months without him working if we penny pinch like crazy.
He's trying to look at it as a blessing in disguise. He used to like that job - until she started working there. Then he hated going into work.
Is she completely soulless?
The assistant manager was willing to do it, but it has a spot asking for the exact amount of his last paycheck, which the assistant manager can't access.

What a complete mess, and yes, she is a soulless ladydog. Does John have a copy of his last paystub, which could be emailed to the assistant manager? That would probably be the fastest way to get the ball rolling on foodstamps. GET HR ON THIS! Re the illegal firing...since this is a large company, can he be transferred to another location? Hang in there, Darlin. We're with you every step of the way!

I don't know about a transfer or anything. We actually recieved his last check today. It included his unused vacation pay but it didn't included his accrued paid sick leave. Aren't they supposed to pay that out? I've never been fired. I don't know anything about any of this.
And now the assistant manager can't do the paperwork because the manager ordered her not to and she doesn't want to be next on the chopping block.
This is so malicious. It's obviously retaliation for the HR complaint. And the assistant manager said she got wind of another report being filed against her last week. John and I know who filed it, but we're not gonna rat her out. But maybe she thought John filed that one, too, or she fired him to scare people away from filing on her.

Hi guys! Some of you might remember me from the 2018 and 2017 threads. I have not been on this site for quite a while but life has been crazy. I do have news though, my fiance and I finally bought our own house (we have lived in an oversized 5th wheel for 2 years)! It took a while to save up but I am so excited to finally move into a house of my own! Now the kitties will have much more room to run and play and get the zoomies :)

We are moving in at the end of next month and I am super nervous about moving with our 2 cats. We have a room that we can keep them in while the movers bring our stuff in though.

Well I have lots to catch up! It's been a busy June for me! Last month I broke down and traded my truck in for another vehicle. The engine was loosing coolant and I just was tired of half the things on it not working anymore. Fan onkyhad 2 settings left out of 6. Windows don't work. Radio doesnt work and just other things that annoyed me. I ended up getting a Honda pilot. In fact I wanted another Tahoe but couldn't find anything decent for less than 20k. And high mileage. I ended up researching other SUVs and the Pilot looked like it was big enough for what I use it for. I needed somerthing big enough for plywood sheets incase I decided to do the flea market again. It fit the ones I had cut for me and I just really liked the look. I test drove it and realized that I found my new used vehicle. I have to say it is pretty good on gas if one doesn't use AC. I was getting 23 miles to the gallon. This latest fillup was only 20 but still better than 12 to 15 miles a gallon with the truck. It rides good and has lots of power. I made sure to only get a V6 engine. Its the 3.5 engine and only had 75800 miles. Its now at 77200 miles. We went for long rides and just so nice to have something that isn't on the verge of breaking down.

So I also been busy with all those plants I bought in the beginning of May. I only lost a handful of plants so far. Most have gone on to their new homes. The petunias are all almost blooming now. The marigolds still short but it's been cool at 50 to 70. We need some 80 degrees to get them to grow. Zinnias are plugging along good. Tomatoes are good.

I wasn't sure if I would take on this project again next year but I found it very satisfying and I hope to do it again and this time will have a list of people set up to buy.

My sister is getting married tomorrow to her girlfriend and it's a wedding at the local restaurant that they like. They both are wearing beautiful wedding dresses. I will be her bridesmaid and wearing a silver dress. I even trimmed my hair! I had to spend extra time scrubbing my hands since ive got farmers hands. Luckily she's cool about it and understands.

Last night I picked her up and we went to Manchester mall to look at shoes and stuff then we went to Texas roadhouse to have a nice ribeye steak..and told myself I've got to buy a grill. I miss grilling!

One last thing, miss Honeybee got her haircut and looks adorable..

Here's her favorite spot to hang out

I have been re-watching Lucifer, just because.., on one of the movie sites I use. Did you know there were 2 added episodes after the series ended. I don't remember them ever being aired. One is called 'Boo Normal' and the other 'Once Upon a Time'. Unfortunately, they do not go into
why Dan thinks Lucifer was responsible for Charlotte's death. Or why Ella lost her faith in God

Also, how do I get rid of the alerts on the Review tab? I have all notifications to reviews turned off, I am not following any and I have never posted a review. Yet, they won't go away.

kashmir64 kashmir64 , I've been rewatching, too! Thankfully, there will be a season five, although it will be the last one!

This is so malicious. It's obviously retaliation for the HR complaint.
You know, you really need to write all of this down, every incident, and turn it into HR. Quickly. It is malicious, but now she can't do anything else. She's put him out of the line of fire, whereas he can continue to push for fair treatment.

OH THERE YOU ARE! Yes, I remember you, and all of the issues with getting moved into the 5th wheel!

Maybe try turning them on and off again? that's worked for me with other issues.

Just tried that and it didn't work. Even logged off and cleared cookies after the changes. However, after 3 days, I finally got the option to mark as viewed and now it's clear.

Thanks for the option though.
