I know for a fact her and Joey are seeing each other tho, I'm pretty happy about that!
She is seeming a bit more relaxed while we are home, she is on her bed pretty relaxed when we are just minding our own business,
Maybe some day you'll look in her room and find Walli and Joey relaxing on the bed together. :catrub:

3 days in a row, Walli stayed on her bed (she has a queen size bed)
while I went in to feed her, she usually runs out to her catio when I come in.
I got a hiss, but I'm ok with that!

I have a piece of cardboard at the bottom of the screen door that leads to the living room, so she can't see Joey, (Pet Behaviorist) I'm toying with the idea to remove it. Pet behaviorist had good ideas and was helpful, but this is a unique situation and I have to wing it. Not sure if Joey is ready so I will wait a bit more since things seem to be going ok. but I know they would see each other a lot more. I may wait to see how this new thing with me and Walli plays out.

She has a long memory!! she has not forgotten the capturing to fumigate debacle. Too bad it wasn't just a capture to go the vet and back, it was in a crate for 3 days at my Dad's house!! prolly pretty scary for her.

Totally forgot about getting a pic of Walli
Update: Joey took to his new harness, we put it on him without a leash, and he kind of squirmed a bit at first but had it on for a few hours no problem.
The Door with the baby gates is now open about 12inches, Walli is ok with it.
The other door that leads to the Living room, has a screen door and is still blocked for viewing. The Sliding Glass Door itself is almost completely open just the bottom of the screen door is covered.
Were still a way's off of putting Joey on a leash to meet each other, I will be posting with questions before We do this.
Walli is still fearful of me, but I think she is making baby steps.

Going to put it on him again this weekend, for longer this time
maybe put the leash on for a bit too.

so Omg, I was just in feeding Walli and she stayed on the bed while I was in there, she usually bolts for the Catio, So I feed her and I put her Greenies hairball treats on her Cat tree and then I go clean the litterbox and when I get up she is at the cat tree eating her treats! This is so different! OMG I just froze I just told her she was a good girl. Looked like she was just going to hang there for awhile and then Joey started pawing at the door and she bolted for the catio.

Oh well, I was ecstatic for a few seconds. Planning on drawing up her room so people know what I'm talking about.

fyi: She never actually goes on the cat tree, she puts her paws on the end of the foot board and reaches on the cat tree for the treats.
don't think she has ever stepped foot on that cat tree!

Walli is not food motivated, these Greenies hairball treats is the only thing she will make a move for.

I know people will say they are bad for her but It's all I got and I don't mind.

Don't blame you one bit. With cats like Walli, you go with what works!
