What's on my mind is that I'm quite surprised. When I was 18 weeks along I had an ultrasound done and even though they couldn't get the best view they were pretty certain that I was having a little girl. Yesterday I overworked myself moving boxes and small furniture and I was having bad cramping in my lower stomach and a very small amount of bleeding when I woke up this morning so I called my doctor and they wanted to do another ultrasound to make sure everything was alright. I was happy with that because any chance to see my baby I'll gladly take. As it was going on I was told that my baby boy was doing just fine and she couldn't see anything wrong. I said my what?!? My little one's legs were wide open this time and his gender was very clear. Now I have to call everyone who came to the gender reveal party and tell them I'm having a boy instead.
A special little surprise to come out of a scary start. Maybe you should just have a gender re-reveal party!

That actually sounds fun!
Oh man, you already had the gender reveal party? Did they buy you all girls' clothes? Congrats on your baby boy! :celebrate:
No, they didn't buy me anything but gender neutral stuff because they didn't know what I was having (or supposed to be having) until the party. I just have to fill everyone in on the news before the baby shower. Thank you so nuch! I was shocked at first, but now excitement has kicked in.

Today, I put a handful of bacon and cheddar cheezits in a bowl
~scampers off to add them to the grocery list~

My childhood best friend was supposed to be a boy. She had her thumb in an interesting position. She ended up with a blue room and all blue baby clothes.
LOL, apparently, that thumb issue is fairly common, I was going to comment on my own friend who had that happen!

Congratulations on your baby boy!

So, John got fired yesterday. This manager has necessary liked him and treated him like crap since she took over a year ago. Three months ago, he filed a complaint with HR because of it. Almost immediately, he was promoted to second assistant manager. This woman had no say in it.

Two weeks ago, he told someone to clean the donut robot. It was cleaned. The person making the donuts then set the blade wrong. It cut off the tops of a bunch of donuts and they landed in the grease, making it look like it wasn't cleaned.

Manager fired John saying it hadn't been cleaned. The store's cameras would prove her wrong, but even if he got his job back, she'd be even worse. She said he wasn't setting a good example as manager. I feel like it's retaliation.

He's going to complain to HR again. And he's already submitted half a dozen applications to other places. I'm trying to be positive here, but I'm scared. We can maybe survive for 2 months without him working if we penny pinch like crazy.

Aedan never liked her. That baby will smile at anyone. I'm constantly complimented on how happy and friendly he is. Complete strangers in Walmart will talk to him and he'll smile. Her? Nothing. Stone face. She talked to him and tickled his foot and he didn't give her a thing. He's never been like that with anyone else.

Less than half an hour ago, someone was knocking on the door of the woman below me. She screamed at them to go away.

Well, they only went out to the parking lot and sat in their car. I just heard her go out there and cuss them out. Okay, I have no clue what's going on, and it sucks to be woken up in the middle of the night, but she sounded SO nasty.

This woman isn't liked in the building, not even remotely. She screams at her boyfriend all the time and always gets involved in other people's business. I've been talking to the other tenants, and we'd all like to see her kicked out.

Sorry to hear this but there are so many jobs available now. I bet John will find something quickly.

Well, due to the sudden loss of income, we applied for food stamps. We need a form filled out by his previous employer. That witch is refusing to do it. She says she isn't allowed, that it has to be caffeinef to corporate - which will delay things, possibly by weeks. The woman at the office told us anyone in management could do it - even an assistant manager. Furthermore, the store is a chain. John is on good terms with the managers of the other branches in town and they told him they've filled out those forms plenty of times. She's just being a witch.
She fires him and then tries to prevent him from getting help to keep his kids fed while he looks for another job? Is she completely soulless?

She has to have a manager, so bypass her and go to the next level. If she has an email, I would document her refusal with an email, or even a letter if you have to.

She called before 8 a.m., waking the baby. So no email documentation.
I'll have him include this in his report to HR.
The assistant manager was willing to do it, but it has a spot asking for the exact amount of his last paycheck, which the assistant manager can't access.
