I'm worried about Itachi. He only ate about half his lunch, and he's been sleeping since we got home. He seems very lethargic. No loose stools, normal urine output, no vomiting (fingers crossed it stays that way). I haven't given him the dewormer yet. Could this just be a reaction to the vaccine?

Yes, it's very common for kitties to be lethargic after vaccines. If he's not better in the morning, you might want to call the vet's office and let them know.

Kaylee just got her last booster yesterday and was so lethargic that she didn't even eat the treats at the pet store after! (NOTHING keeps Kaylee from her treats) It is fairly typical that cats are very sleepy after their vaccines, and I wouldn't worry about it unless she starts getting signs of an allergic reaction (itchiness, redness, swelling around their eyes, lips or neck, or hives) or it lasts a long time, like stephanietx mentioned above.

Also - If you see signs of an allergic reaction you should call your vet immediately, or an emergency vet if they are closed.

I woke up in the middle of the night to see Itachi sharing my piillow. He woke up when I did, meowed, and starting demanding attention. He then went over to his food bowl and began to chow down (I left some dry out for him in the hopes he'd eat at night). He's acting like himself again, for which i am so grateful. The not wanting to eat worried me.

Now to get that dewormer pill down his throat. I think I'll wait a day.
