Hello Hello! Happy Tuesday!

What's a job that you would be terrible at?

For me, likely mathematician/physicist or engineer  as I am awful at such skills. IT professional too. Another one would be garbage person or waste management - NOT because I think of it as lowly (Seriously mad respect, they are so important) but I am pretty squeamish and stomach woozy around garbage or waste. Worse with other people's garbage. I would rather clean up a crime scene then deal with everyday garbage.

There are other options I could list but I'll leave it at that!

How about you guys?

Anything potentially bloody, anything working around fruit or with a possibility that I might encounter fruit (so, sanitation worker is our for me, too), where I was up high or in a tight place, anywhere with a strong smell, anything that required me to be nice all the time, at a church, for a Republican politician, for ICE, for children services, anywhere that was silent at all times, a truck driver, or around a lot of people would be a no for me.

I am horrible at sales. I was fired from a job at a jewelry store; I am just not good at it. Also I could not be a surgeon..... seeing gross stuff like intestines, internal abscesses that reek, etc. or work in an e.r. where people with poor hygiene need help. My friends's dad was an e.r. doc and it didn't bother him at all and we so need people like that.

Anything that required sitting at a desk day after day, or doing the same thing every day. I once worked on assembly line, and while I was good at it, I hated it with a purple passion.

Anything that requires that I interact with other human beings for more than 3 hours at a time. For example, if I need to solve a prolem or resolve an issues where I have to collaborate and brainstrom with other people. So, probably social work and nursing/veterinary type work.

God, that makes me sound like such a horrible person. I love people, I swear. It's just that my limit for socialization is very low.

School bus driver. If the kids were bad I'd lose my mind. If the kids were good I'd probably drive them to an ice cream cone place. Either way I'd be fired in one day.
Anything that would require a suit and tie daily.
Anything that would require me to sit at a desk in a cubicle.
Housekeeper. They'd leave for 4 hours and come home and find and me snoring away on the couch surrounded by their cats.
Anything involving customer service in retail. (I've seen how people treat people who are doing their jobs and trying not to get fired by not bending the rules for some entitled brat.)
Caterer. I'd eat the profits.
I'd be bad at a lot of stuff.
(I'll be the minority and say I think being a surgeon would be really cool, only because you know in the back of your mind you're helping people. But it's pretty messy work, and though the pay is outstanding I bet the hours are long and it defines high stress job. You're helping them, but their lives are in your hands in a sense, too.)

Anything requiring spending time around children
Anything requiring spending time around sick people
Retail
Waiting tables
Working with dogs (too needy and too much like working with toddlers)
Podiatrist or proctologist (no one goes to see these specialists when things in these areas are normal)
Sales
Any job in a nursing home. Been there. Done that. What depressing places those are. I did housekeeping in the Alzheimers ward. I developed a very strong respect for CNA's while there. Those people are saints. They got abused by residents and treated like dirt by nurses and still gave it their all.

1 bruce 1 1 bruce 1 You'd be perfect at "quality control" for the caterer.

I could do quality control for a caterer :thumbsup::thumbsup:

Oh boy, nursing homes. Alzheimers wards would be one of the worst. And yes, people who work there and maintain a level of compassion deserve medals and trophies, what demanding, tiring, draining work by people with so much love in their hearts for others.
I'd have a hard time working in places like mental health wards. It kills me seeing people in so much pain that others can't really understand.

Any job that requires me to be around small screaming children...or sharks.
Funny thing is I wanted to be a marine biologist when I was younger, but couldn't get over my fear of sharks, so I didn't pursue it.

I can barely add 2 and 2 together. I was in finance for over 20 years. Spreadsheets and 10 keys are wonderful.

I'd take the sharks over the children. Sharks don't whine.

Nope! It makes you sound like an introvert! :) Lots of us around. I like people, too, but I get my energy from being alone (with my cats). Extroverts get their energy from being with people.

For me it would be anything related to human medicine. I’m so grateful that people have the aptitude, skill, and desire to be in the medical profession; I’m not one of them. I would have loved to have been a vet, though, but I’m not good at science.

any job that requires interaction with other people on an even semi regular basis. i much prefer to be left to do assigned tasks/jobs on my own, and can be counted on to complete them properly and in a timely manner.
