It's still Saturday in some places, right?

:running:

Imagine you have to go on an adventure holiday. You have to pick one from the following. You could;

* Go on a shuttle ride to the edge of the Earth's atmosphere. It would only be a short trip, but there would be all of the danger and unpredictability that comes with space travel.

* Attempt to summit Mount Everest. You'd have all the gear, extra oxygen and experienced Sherpa to go with you, but you'd still have to risk your life climbing up through the Dead Zone.

* Go cage diving with sharks. You'd have scuba gear and you'd be in the cage, of course, but those cages aren't that safe. Shark have got into them before.

Which would you choose?

Cage diving off of Guadalupe Island. 251 unique Great Whites recorded including one that is 7 meters called Deep Blue. Deep Blue is the largest Great White ever filmed.

It definitely won't be sharks!
I don't like to climb and although I love winter, Everest isn't winter, it's just stupid cold.
Since I love heights and I'm always watching the live stream of the ISS, then it will have to be going up to the atmosphere.

I would choose number 1. They are all exciting but 2 and 3 seem too dangerous.

I think I'd go with the sharks. I do like rock climbing, but I physically would not be able to do that climb and being hurled into the atmosphere by a giant explosion just doesn't quite appeal to be.

Sorry, with my fears I couldn't do any of those. Sharks are out because they could kill me. Mt. Everest is out because you have to pass by all those dead bodies, unfortunately I did Google and see the pics. :fear:
The space travel one is out because it could blow up like the Challenger.
Got anything safer? :dunno:

although i'd never do any of those in real life (my 'adventure' days are well past), i'll play along! :D

i'd do the shuttle ride to the edge of the earth's atmosphere. that really would be so very cool, the views to see! :agree: and too, there are very, very few that are able to qualify to go into space/for the US space program -- so even more thrilling!

Mount Everest has a huge problem with overcrowding tourism, so that is a no. Plus freezing temperatures, unpredictable snow, missing people/bodies, hardly any air to breath. Plus I feel like most folks go there moreso for bragging rights, not so much based on a long and legit interest in skill towards mountain climbing. I'm good.

What kind of sharks are we talking about? Great whites, tigers, nurse? In any case I would probably choose this. The mix of nature, creatures and something unique to do. It's an easiest route to help and safety too if something did go wrong.

Going up in borderline space, it's harder to get out of if something went wrong. Too risky and expensive too for something short.

I'd definitely go cagediving with sharks. I'm fascinated with them and have been since I was a small child. To be up close and personal with them would be a dream come true.

Norachan Norachan , why did you pick 3 things that require bottled oxygen?
Hmmm, I don't know. I just chose three things that I really wouldn't want to do and went with those.

If it was something like a walkabout or riding a horse across Mongolia I'd be up for it.
