Often times yes, because they spray it with kitty crack ...
What's kitty crack?

A lot of times they coat it with animal digest or similar to make it very appealing.
I usually put a can of wet food on top of the dry food, in their bowl, and the wetness leaks into the food below. They seem to like it.

Mine do. And they would eat the whole 3-lb bag if they can get to it.
Wow. It's amazing how cats have unique personalities. My cats only eat the dry food until they're satisfied, but they love wet food more than treats.

Oh, catnip. Do you spray their food with it?
No, the companies spray the outside of kibble with animal digest or other meat flavorings, to make it appealing to cats. Most cats probably wouldn't be very attracted to dry food without those flavorings.

My cats love kibble. Now that they're on an all-canned diet, I use kibble as treats.

Our other cats liked dry as the free feed and wet for their two meals a day. Current cat won't touch wet food. I tried to start her with wet food and she ate very little, she grew very little, so little she had no trouble running around on her hind feet (which isn't good for their backs if they do it all the time as she did.) After going through all the offerings that Purina and Mars had (which she tended to throw up every time she ate - that turned out to be an allergy to chicken, but I think it may have finished her interest in wet food) we found a dry she liked that didn't make her throw up.

I think it’s like eating cookies - our knitting’s always loved to eat dry food and some we had would do so almost addictively. Other cat kicked out out of your spot? Binge on food!

But I have noticed Olive seems so much more satisfied after her wet food meals - more like mashed potatoes and steak. It is now satisfying to eat and stay full and feels like a meal.

I have only ever fed wet food for the most part, but Aslan is a greedy little boy and will eat pretty much any dry food I put in front of him as long as the pieces are small. He doesn't like big pieces.

My cats like wet food more and I can leave out a shared one cup portion that all three graze on for 24 hours. They eat all their wet food. Someday they don’t touch the dry hardly any.

I also just rescued a starved cat. He likes wet more to my knowledge he ate dry his entire life.

Even though I've always primarily wet food, both of my boys are obsessed with kibble. I give them a few pieces of Dr. Elsey's, and they go nuts as if they've never eaten. When it's meal time one of them will hang out beside the tub of dry dog food in the kitchen. I have to keep my dog's bowl locked in her crate and out of reach. But with enough effort, occasionally they will reach the bowl, pull it close, and knock it around to get to her kibble. Sometimes I'll find a scarf and barf. :barfgreen:

Very few do not like the crunch crunch, cats and humans. But is it good for them? Humans crunch on fried and potato chips then gain weight. Similar to a cat eating dry food

By kibble, you mean dog food? Sorry for my ignorance. (I hate dogs :))
