Hi been a long time since i used this forum

My cat yussy - or brother yussuf as i called him, is 4 months old, big and healthy boy

he has for since he was 10 weeks old insisted on `missing the litter tray constantly`

When i clean the litter tray which is every day - fresh littler, nice and clean, he uses it straight away and then thats it - several hours later he will have been twice once near the tray and once in the other end of the room - `poop` on the floor!!

I do not know what to do - hes up to date at the vets, wormed flead healthy
ive put him on diffrent kinds of food and it still happens so its not diharea

hes just extremely stubborn and for some reason keeps going on the floor

it is laminated tiling so thank god not carpet, but still it really is a nightmare

we do have another cat but they use seperate litter trays nice and clean so surely its nothing to do with it

what should i do?

(should i try using a cat litter flap box or something?

im totally at my wits end!

I'd add yet another litter box for him, if not two. Some cats simply refuse to poop and pee in the same box, no matter how clean you keep it.

If he is using the litterbox once, I am wondering whether he is fussy about the box being totally clean. So I would try cleaning it multiple times a day, making sure the litter is deep enough and adding a second litterbox. You also want to make sure the litter you are using is unscented as some cats dislike the scented kind.

Just a guess but I believe your cat is waiting for clean litter to be used. That's why he goes right after you replace the litter. Try this; after you clean it, he will use it. So after he uses it, clean it immediately after to see if there's any difference in his behavior. Your boy may be particularly fussy and demands clean toilet every time he needs to use it.

Also another extra litter box might help too :)

I'd do the two boxes just for him. When cats want to pee in one and poop in another that's it for them. Be sure you put at least three inches of litter in both boxes in case he is frustrated digging.
